      These shoes took me 26.2 miles with no issues during the Rome Marathon. I have three pairs of them to switch out with and I would change shoes for anything.

        I purchased these shoes for both trail running and winter running. The new soles by Continental offer excellent traction in slippery conditions (as tested during a recent round of freezing rain). The overall comfort is very good, having logged about 5 miles every day for the last 4 weeks. I am a larger runner (6'1", 240 lbs) so I will find out very quickly how durable they are; so far I see no noticeable wear.

        Just getting into trail running and mud runs, but have been using regular road shoes. This is my first pair of trail shoes and what a difference I noticed first time out on the trail with these for a 5.5 mi run. My road shoes are Asics 2160's and I got the Riot 3's a 1/2 size up vs. my Asics 2160's and that was the right call. These provide a very stable base and excellent traction. They may be a tad bit on the heavier side and the tongue could use a little more padding (IMO), but they provided great support and stability along with reasonably good comfort. I also noticed how well ventilated they are. I don't think you can go wrong with these especially if you can get them at a great sale price like I did. I also have a pair of Mizuno Cabrakan 2's on order and am anxious to compare/contrast them to the Riot 3.
