      Fell apart on my first run

        I bought these shoes thinking that I would try something a little different than my usual purchase of either Newtons or Asics , but wow...was I disappointed. While running a quick 5 miles this morning, one of the seams ripped during the run. Not sure if I simply recieved a defective pair of shoes, but I haven't had a pair lose some much structural integrity after one run ever! The shoes wear really small... infact I couldn't wear my normal running socks with them, I had to use a thinner pair just to get my foot in the shoe. The only way that I can describe running in these shoes is that they feel rigid, almost as if I was was running in a pair of bowling shoes.

        I did however fall captive to the athestetics of the shoe...they do look pretty cool, but unfortunately I will be sending them back to where they came from.

          I use this shoe for half marathon training, and will be using it as a marathon racing shoe. There are lighter shoes out there for racing and speed work, but none that offer as much support and grip. These have the support of a good trainer, and grip that I haven't experienced in other shoes. I recently ran a 10k in them with a sharp corner and was able to take it at full speed with no slip or roll. Fits true to size for a medium foot with a cushion that can feel hard in the store, but breaks in after a few miles. The only down side is the price, but they appear they will wear longer than average.
