Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: These are my perfect shoes! Long Asics fan, recently ran Mizunos, but it's Adidas now. These have the perfect sock-like fit I'd always hoped existed. Sized up to 10 in these from 9 1/2 Wave Runners. I have somewhat narrow low volume feet, mid-foot striker running 25 - 30 miles per week. Once I put these on, they simply disappear from my mind; they don't interfear or pinch or rub or burn or slide or get in the way. They just cushion and protect my feet from the road and otherwise they stay out of the way.

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: Have run 250+ miles in these now, they are still fantastic, and have settled in nicely. Ran a surprisingly fast time at 2013 Marine Corps Marathon in these several months ago and now use them for training a few times a week. I am amazed at the low wear on both soles and uppers, though uppers (mine are bright yellow) do get dirty. These shoes are especially good for road running (best I have ever had), OK for gravel, wouldn't use for trails. No toe problems, which bugged me in the past with some other shoes.

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: I love this shoe and am on my third pair. The toe box has literally reversed toe nail trauma and has not caused any more damage that was typically due to due to hard plastic or leather. The shoe also has no pressure points due to its primary elastic construction and prevents blisters, hot spots, or the foot falling asleep. The BOOST technology has alleviated a lot of aches and in my experience doesn't need to be broken in. Off the shelf, I can run 10 miles without problems. I have used them mostly on pavement/concrete, and on basic dirt trails. The drawback is that the rubber on the sole doesn't grip on wet surfaces too well and I find myself being extra careful which has disrupted my pace. The other design feature I would improve is the heel/Achilles region. It's a little flat and while running in some in some inclines/declines I would like some more support in that area. Further, the shoe runs about a half size too small.

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: Good neutral shoe for longer distances. I've put over 150 miles on a pair, and they are holding up extremely well. The boost cushioning is showing zero signs of wear, unlike other EVA shoes I've had in the past. The soles are showing normal signs of wear. It will be interesting to see how the soles hold up, as I'm sure that the boost foam will last 500 miles plus. I'm a larger runner, so I tend to brutalize shoes; 300 miles is about the max for me.

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: Have used these on sharp rocky and gravely trails and roads and dirt and dirt roads. They hold up surprisingly well. Do not recommend for irregular ground, running sideways on a steep slope, etc. No signs of compression of the sole. Can run further with less fatigue, even after 8 months on the same pair of shoes. RRS says they are discontinued, but Adidas says not so. (Second review)

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: I have had metatarsal pain on one foot and big toe on the same. I have a narrow foot and buying this one size up fits a little snug but fits my foot very well. I love how it cushions, feels the road yet light and is still high performance. My favorite shoe in many years. I have 40 miles already and will buy another pair.

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: Have held up, surprisingly, for 6 months, even for 3 hour runs on steep rocky trails. Have 3 pair but have used only the first pair so far. Do fine in washing machine. Dry quickly in front of fan. After decades of trying all sorts of shoes, these are the best for road or groomed trails.

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: I purchases these for longer runs, when I didn't want to ware my newtons but these were just to big of a jump from those. They have tons of cushion in the heel and a average amount in the forefoot, but they still don't come off as soft, more of a bouncy feeling. I like to lace my shoes tight, so it's nice that the mesh upper is already snug but you can feel the laces through the mesh if you tighten them to much, theres no padding in the tongue.

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: I have always been a fan of heavy cushioned shoes but didn't ever like the added weight. Previously I ran in Nike Volmero's (6 and 7) and really enjoyed these shoes. I ran about 400 miles in these shoes, with my last run being the Chicago Marathon. Weight/cushion ratio is amazing - much lighter than what I'm used to in a heavy cushion shoe. The shoe is small, definitely go up half a size. I didn't and my toes were cramped on long runs.

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: tried 1 size up and was too long, toe box curled back like an aladdin slipper. I have a high arch and these shoes did not accomodate my arch at all, very hard to get on and uncomfortable across the instep. Tried true size, way too small and tight... after 1 day wear experienced achilles tendonitis from the heel counter digging into achilles tendon. returned both pairs as ubsuitable.

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: The wife read review after review and had to try them. When she did, after every run, she could not stop talking about how awesome they were. After hearing this about 4 times, I decided I have to have a pair of my own to try. A little about me: 5 knee surgeries, 1 toe surgery, 5'9", 203 pounds, run 4 times a week, have run many half marathons, 10ks and 5ks. Of course after many a long run, or run where I push hard (10k, 5k), my knees would let me know of their disapproval, and this in turn would lead to my calves and ankles being sore. I wear Nike Zoom Vomero and Pegasus. While these shoes were and are awesome, I would have to ice the knees and rub down the calves after long runs/hard runs. When I got these shoes, my first run was a 9 miler (that's right, no break in needed). I have to say, that run first off felt almost effortless, like my legs were just moving on their own (boost technology baby!). After that run, I had almost no soreness: did not have to ice the knees or rub down the legs. I am highly impressed. I have run many more runs in these shoes (long runs, tempo runs) and love them. They're good for the road or for trails. Hands down, awesome shoe, and permanently have a place in my shoe rotation...and will replace the Pegasus as I rotate them out! Good job Adidas. Bought half size up, as suggested, and the fit was perfect.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: I have been running with the Energy Boost shoes for about 3 months. I run about 20 miles a week, mostly pavement, some boardwalk, a bit of trail. These shoes are very light and comfortable. The upper is very thin but very durable. When stretching it feels as though you're actually holding your foot. The midsole feels very cushioned but also feels as though your feet are close to the road. I like it. Everyone's feet are different. I always try various brands when needing a new shoe but I always end up with Adidas. They fit me best.

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: I run about 35-40 miles per week and I normally run in Adidas Superglides 3-4-5 and Adizeros. This by far the best shoe I have found for comfort, cushioning, while being exremely lightweight. Price seemed a little high, but well worth it. Highly recommended to those with an active lifetyle.

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: I have been running with Adidas Boston and Adidas Adios. I was skeptical about this shoe when it came out but OMG have I been missing out !!! I run from 5km to Marathons. I do from Sprint triathlon to IronMan and have been doing it for many years. I have tried almost every kind of shoe out there. This shoe is comfortable and what impresses me the most about this shoe is that I can comfortable run the same distance as the Boston or Adios and my legs feel a lot fresher and my recover is faster. I am really excited that they now have an Adios Boost. If you are a super efficient runner it may be too bouncy but for most of us that need comfort and some help from a shoe this it the one !!!!! Amazing shoe. Great job from Adidas.

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: 12 x marathon finisher, incl 3 Bostons. Have run twice in these shoes now, 6 mi yesterday and 17 mi today. They feel amazing from the get-go, and I am not easily impressed. Soles may look like styrofoam but they are the future, no doubt everyone else will try to copy these and they will get better and cheaper over time. Ditch the old shoes and buy a pair of these.

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: I don't always do a review a shoe but after 2 runs I must tell you what I have experienced. I have been running for about 3 years and run in the 21 min range on a 5k. Have run 1 half and whole marathon. I am about 5'9" 160 lbs. Been training for another half and wanted something for longer miles. Up to this point been running in Pearl Izumi N2 which I love. Got these and Friday went for an 8 miler. My recent best averaged about 8.40 per mile. Friday I averaged 7.59 without any extra effort that I can tell. Because of the great time I had I thought I push a little on a 5 miler today. Previous best was about 7.48 per mile. Today averaged 7.27. I will say ordering a half size up is the way to go. I wear a 9 in asics and 9.5 in saucony. Wear a 9.5 in these boost. Don't normally review a shoe unless I think it is amazing. These are amazing!!!

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: Very comfortable, and springy to the step. Most shoes with this much cushion are too heavy to run competitively in, but the weight on these feels just right. I have a narrow, hard to fit foot. Even though these are standard width, they fit me snugly. I did size up a half size, and the toe box is very comfortable, no black toenails here. Like any new shoe, you need to break them in with low mileage and work up, but these are so comfortable I don't want to take them off when I come in from running.

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: I'm a runner from 5k to marathon, the boost takes a few runs before it fit like a glove. The comfort is incredible, I used to run in Nike vomero's but I'm a boost guy now

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: This is my first "real" pair of running shoes. After getting into running a couple months ago, I just used the regular pair of cheaper, "faux" running shoes everyone has in their closet. I really enjoyed running but my feet and legs were always in pain afterward and I couldn't wait to get the shoes off. I decided I needed real shoes, and, after going through the thorough fitting process, these felt the best.
Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: After running a few times in this shoe, I decided to use it for my spring marathon. Ran a 2:46. I bought a half size up...the guy at the local running store said virtually everyone was. It does feel narrow when i first put them on, but this becomes a non issue when I start running.

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: Started running 5k and 10k distances this year and this shoe just feels right. Light, comfortable, and stable. Looking forward to seeing how long they last and if they're as good on longer runs. Wish I could find them in stock to buy a back up pair or two.

Comments about Mens adidas Energy Boost Running Shoe: I am nearly 60, 32 marathon finisher, training for Ironman. Have only had for 1 week, but notice significant reduction in pain during running, better endurance and speed. Runner/Jogger normally <20 miles per week off season training. Don't expect first day to wow you, but give them a week. Worth the higher price. Only question now is how durable they will be!
