Comments about Mens adidas adistar boost Running Shoe: All around this shoe is better than Brooks Adrenaline GTS that I've wore for years. Really like light weight feel and boost does seem to help on long runs so knees don't get too tired. Highly recommend.

Comments about Mens adidas adistar boost Running Shoe: These were my first real running shoes. I got them because I was struggling through shin splints. 500 miles later and my shin splints were still gone. Replaced them with Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15. The GTS feel much heavier/bulkier. The GTS cause my shin splints to flare up when I run in them too frequently. I have to alternate the GTS with these Adidas to help my shins feel better. I can't wait until the GTS wear out and I can buy another pair of Adistar Boost.

Comments about Mens adidas adistar boost Running Shoe: Years ago my first pair of running shoes were Adidas. Since then I've worn Reebok, Nike, New Balance and Brooks. Always come back to Adidas. Nike, New Balance and Brooks were a waste of money. Too stiff to run in. Never had that problem with Adidas. Really comfortable. Great cushioning. Can't imagine how a shoe could feel any better.

Comments about Mens adidas adistar boost Running Shoe: I've been wearing Adidas since about 1999 and faithfully followed one line as it evolved from Supernova Xtra to Supernova Control, to Supernova Sequence and Sequence. After some injury, and dissatisfaction with the Sequence, I decided it was time to move up to the new, stable Adistar Boost.

Comments about Mens adidas adistar boost Running Shoe: These adidas adistar boost shoes were only OK. The boost technology was better than OK but the toe box wears narrow and feels narrow but doesn't "run" narrow. It runs fine due to the techfit no seam membrane around the shoe but I was always concerned about it, although I never got a blister, and never lost any toenails, pinky toes would significantly bulb, and I do NOT have a wide foot. I was hoping it would replace my regular 2nd go-to pair of shoes (asics GT-2000-2) but not a permanent keeper. Will continue the search for a reliable 2nd to go along with the Mizuno Wave Inspires. Would consider trying again if they made a wider toe box.

Comments about Mens adidas adistar boost Running Shoe: I got over 500 miles out of these shoes (but I recommend retiring them after 400) . The cushioning was fantastic once you start to break them in. They do encourage heel striking, which can lead to injury.

Comments about Mens adidas adistar boost Running Shoe: I've been racing and training for almost forty years and I've seen the evolution of a lot of shoes during that time. I've been wearing Asics (mostly Kayanos) for the last ten years, but the outstanding reviews on this shoe from both the LA Times, and then from Running Times convinced me to give them a shot.

Comments about Mens adidas adistar boost Running Shoe: I bought these because of my bad knees and ankles from playing soccer years ago. These shoes are great for holding my heel and ankle tight but leaving room for my toes to move.

Comments about Mens adidas adistar boost Running Shoe: I average 40-60 miles per week - had been wearing lighter weight trainers, but wanted something with more cushion especially for longer runs. These shoes are extremely comfortable, mostly due to the great upper, and also the soft cushion/landing. They do fit snug, and the cost was hard to swallow. I wish the tread lasted a little longer, but still got about 500 miles out of them which is more than usual. I would recommend this shoe!

Comments about Mens adidas adistar boost Running Shoe: I'm a half marathoner training for a full. I had previously had some peroneal tendon issues after running my first half but had been pretty diligent with my ramp-up to avoid again. Well, the same issue popped up again when using these shoes on longer training runs. That said, the Boost material is definitely more springy, and I ran my fastest 5 miler in these... but I think that they are better suited for speed work than distance. That said I know they are much more durable than most shoes and will allow a lot more mileage, so the price may still be worth it. I would simply recommend a shoe that doesn't artificially spring you up as much for your distance work.

Comments about Mens adidas adistar boost Running Shoe: I wanted to try out the Adidas "Boost" technology, but didn't want to take a chance on the lightweight, neutral Adidas Boost (which I heard might run a bit small and narrow), so I decided to spend too much money and try out the Adistar Boost, to get more stability. So far, I've been pleasantly surprised. In fact, after a year of not being satisfied with several new styles of stability trainers, I liked this one, and the slightly heavier Saucony Hurricane 15. The Adistar Boost has some really nice cushioning, and they're pretty light, and responsive. They feel a tad narrow when I put them on, but I don't notice any narrowness feeling when I'm running. As usual, I'm getting some hot spots on the bottom of my feet after I run about 3 miles, but I still like these shoes, overall. The biggest downside is the price. Come on Adidas, cut that out!

Comments about Mens adidas adistar boost Running Shoe: most shoes like this could be a little deeper for orthotics AND the bottom lace like most shoes goes down too far so as to restrict the forefoot spreading

Comments about Mens adidas adistar boost Running Shoe: Needed a good cushioned shoe to help prepare for Basic Training. This shoe fit the bill perfectly. The energy return from the new cushioning technology is nothing short of amazing, and the pronation control worked perfect!
Pros
Cons Best Uses
Comments about Mens adidas adistar boost Running Shoe: I've had both the Adidas Boost and Adistar Boost. The original felt tight and ran small (the Adistar is noticeably larger). The cushioning on the original seemed to get hard and not as shock absorbing. Very little if any support.
