Comments about Womens Altra Intuition 1.5 Running Shoe: For years and years, I tried many different brands and styles of running shoe and found little difference in how they felt. My toes always felt cramped, no matter the size or width of the shoe, and even shoes that I bought at a specialty running store where they analyzed my feet, gait, etc. were not noticeably better. The Altra Intuitions changed everything. The combination of the wide toe box and zero drop platform makes the ideal running shoe for anyone with high arches and wide feet, and for the first time ever, my feet feel GOOD when I run. I've bought multiple pairs of these and I hope that Altra never stops making them.

Comments about Womens Altra Intuition 1.5 Running Shoe: I've been running for quit a long time. Five years ago I had back surgery.....started running 6 weeks after to the surprise of many. I have a lot of nerve damage on my left side and it does influence how I run. I run about 30+ a week. I began having a lot of problems with my feet and hips (especially after a marathon). In desperation, I tried these. So far my longest run has been twelve miles. I was shocked that I didn't experience more discomfort as I adjusted to these. I have found my feet are much more comfortable. I haven't had these long enough to give my full opinion but so far am very pleased and look forward to continued improvement as I continue to adjust to a more minimalist shoe.

Comments about Womens Altra Intuition 1.5 Running Shoe: I wear a neutral, wide running shoe. This zero drop shoe is narrower in the heel, but wide in the toe box. They suggest that you buy a 1/2 size up for a better fit, which I did. I had been running off and on with my Altera's and netural Brooks. When I put on my Altera's I feel much better. The leg feels lighter and more relaxed. I plan to get another pair. One for the treadmill and one for outside. An excellent shoe if you like the zero drop style. I heard an interview with their designer who has put a 1000 miles on his pair. He states because their is no cushioning you wear these until you get a hole.

Comments about Womens Altra Intuition 1.5 Running Shoe: The flatness of the shoe works for my neuroma. The square toe and width takes he pressure off the metatarsals. I have been unable to do any walks at all until I purchased these shoes.

Comments about Womens Altra Intuition 1.5 Running Shoe: Over the past 2 years I've very gradually transitioned to minimalist shoes for walking and running, but continued to experience difficulty when running in true minimalist shoes on concrete and asphalt. For trails I run in Vivo Barefoot and they're great. But the hard roads were another story. I've tried several different brands, and it just wasn't working for me. Then I discovered the Altra. The Altra is lightweight and zero-drop, which I wanted to stick with, but in contrast to others has just the right amount of cushioning to soften the impact of the hard roads and sidewalks. I'm a 60-year-old marathoner, so age and other body-issues could be why I haven't been able to find success with other minimalist shoes. With the Altra, I still have all the room my toes need to flex during running, and the amount of cushioning is just right. For me, they're perfect, and I was able to run in them right from the start with no problems. The only caution--size UP a full size! I wear an 8-1/2 normally, and found I needed to go to a 9-1/2 in these, which surprised me, but worked. And did I mention I love the bright, sassy color?!

Comments about Womens Altra Intuition 1.5 Running Shoe: I bought my first pair 12/31/12, and have just ordered a 2nd pair. I found out about these from a friend who runs in the Altra Provisioness, but based on my high arch, I decided to try the Intuitions. The Intuitions are my first zero drops. Prior to the Intuitions, I had been plagued by feet problems since I started running again in May 2012 (I trained for and ran a marathon- so I was doing lots of mileage). After reading Born to Run, I decided to try a zero drop shoe. I have been running in my Altra Intuitions now for about 45 days (longest run of 13 miles) and have not had any feet issues. The wide toe box must be part of the reason that these work so well for me, but shoe is well constructed with a little cushioning. The fit is not big through the arch and heel. These come with 2 insoles, and I have been using the flatter ones (foot strengthening ones). I did ease into them, but the transition has been easy. I wear a size 7 in these, which is the same size I wore in other brand running shoes, but my everyday shoes are size 5.5-6, so definitely order them bigger than your everyday shoes. These are super cute shoes.

Comments about Womens Altra Intuition 1.5 Running Shoe: Love these!Neuromas and a bunion sidelined me for a few weeks till it calmed down. I ordered these as it was zero drop but not a true minimal shoe that I know I can't wear.I wore them at work for about a week before I even ran in them as it was the only shoe my foot could tolerate. They come with two foot beds, one for stability and one for strengthening, for now Im using the stability one with a met pad in place and will hopefully transition to other one. My first run was 4 miles and felt that i could gone on more but wanted to see how I would feel the next day. Wowowow no soreness , no pain with running, didn't feel like I had to throw my shoes against the wall after the run.My forefoot/toes had plenty of room to spread out(different feeling than Brooks ghost)but my heel was snug enough so I didn't feel like I was swimming in the shoe. I do wear a wide shoe because of foot issues and these are really great.
