Ideal for men with fallen arches, excessive overpronation and knock knees, you'll love the support you get from the firmer midsole and removable stability wedge insole. You can still enjoy the best of both worlds-get ideal stability combined with the natural-running feel of the Provision's Zero Drop™ platform-without the excessive bulk and weight of traditional stability shoes. For those with a more neutral running style, simply remove the stability wedge.       Like others I have flat feet and would still like to run as natural as possible. The arch support is just right so it is not uncomfortable. It actually feels like it balances out my footprint. I have had zero calf or shin problems with these. Also had a serious bout with PF and that seems to be going away too. I had the Instinct 1.5 before which I liked, but this is much better for my feet. Give the Provision a try for a few days as all new shoes take some getting used to. I wear size 10, bought these in 10.5 and they are a perfect fit!

          I have a wide forefoot and usually need shoes in 2E or 4E widths. Finding a "minimalist" shoe that fits has been a challenge because they generally don't offer wide or extra-wide sizes. The Altra Provision size 12-1/2 is slightly smaller, and fits me slightly better, than my Brooks Adrenaline size 12, 4E.

            They were very poor. I had the other alta...Loved them. However, the other one just started to tear on the cover netting on both shoes. Since my 90 day was not up with Roadrunner warranty..I took them back. Got this pair. They were terrible. Two days and I took them back and am now wearing a comparable Merrell shoe. Love them!

              This is a great shoe. Tried it at the NYC expo and decided to give it a try. I am never an impulse buyer but had to buy this one on impulse. Very comfortable but not a great looking shoe. I don't care for looks as long it serves the purpose.

              My feet are as flat as it can be and have been struggling on my left foot with injuries. I slowly transitioned to these shoes and upto 10 miles runs so far. The injuries have not gone away completely but this forces you to strike your mid to fore front. I hope the injuries go away soon. Focusing on my running style as well to correct problems.

              Can't run with my old shoes anymore. I was happy to see that RRS carries them online. Got a 2nd pair. Remember to buy this a full size up. Might feel different at first but you will love the roomy toe area and zero drop.
