I'm on my third pair of these shoes. They fit well, and I've done several half marathons on these shoes. I don't get achy after my runs and can still do errands! I started to have some hip problems after I wore them for almost 9 months, but then I replaced them with a new pair/ same model and my hips are fine now. Hard to find them since the style has been replaced.

I loved the E1 and thought that the E2 would be just as good but it wasn't, the cushioning broke down after 50 miles and my shin splits returned (usually my indication that I need a new pair of shoes) so I thought I had a dud pair and bought another one and it happened to the new ones too. Hopefully the E3 will be as good as the E1 was...

I am an overpronator (is that a word?) and have to use orthoditcs(sp). As a result the top seems in the shoes rubbed my little and next to little toes. Had to return them. Other than that they felt fine and gave support.

Make sure you order a full size up. I normally wear a 9 1/2 and I ordered 10 1/2 and they fit perfect!

Great Sneaker! Like jogging on clouds. I love them. Tried both Mizuno Wave Renegade 3 and this one at same time and returned Mizuno and am keeping the Asics. The fit and comfort are 100 times better than the Mizuno. Feel roomy when first on but very stable and do not slip. Great!!!!

I've used Asics for over 20 years, different models but all with straight last. Every one I have bought has been a size 10. I require an 11 in this model. I have had them only a short time, longest run 1.5 hrs, so far excellent. Julian's right, this has a very roomy toe box, but works well for me.

This shoe is by far, the most comfortable running shoe I've run in. The forefoot seemed at first to be a little too roomy; curiously though, the shoe stayed put on my feet no sliding around, socks weren't shifted. The fit was snugged and very comfortable. I'm planning on pushing a seven mile run in them this weekend- I'll let you know how it goes. I am currently stationed in Iraq and these shoes are deffinitely a welcomed comfort. -SSG Williams,US Army

I am 6', 185. Bought these a week before a half marathon and they broke in nicely. The wider toe box worked out well for my foot. Something about it just does not feel as soft as the Evolution I. I do put in a pair of orthotics so I did not notice the weight difference. I like the shoe but the EI felt a little more comfortable. Ventilation is better.

Great shoe. After three pairs of the original Evolutions, I gave this one a shot. The toe box is definitely wider, and it is lighter and better ventilated. The Evolution II initially felt as if it had less arch support, and I had to lace it up a bit tighter than the original Evolutions, but the ride was great. I wear the same size in both shoes. I have flat feet but am not a severe overpronater.

I have very flat, wide feet, and had to switch from the Adrenaline, GTS6 is too narrow in midfoot now, and find this shoe to be very comfortable. I agree with the previous review, it is probably more stability than motion control. However, I overpronate and find this shoe to provide a perfect amount of control w/o the weight. I commend Asics for making a "motion control plus" shoe at only 12.5 oz., as I would never run in a shoe over this weight. If you have wide, flat feet, and overpronate give this one a shot.

Tue, January 31,2006:
I just received the new Evolution II shoe last week and have run in it three times so far. It has good cushioning and support and feels fairly light, with good heel to toe transition. The fit is similar to the Kayano, although the Kayano has more cushioning (and costs more). I would give it a 4/5 on cushioning, not 5/5. It is a little roomier in the toe box than the 2100 and my foot feels like it sits a little lower in this shoe.

I am just now breaking these in, and they seem great! I did wear the Saucony Grid Stabil, and they were awful. So far, very pleased
