I have trained in these for my marathon this year and it replaed my evolution II and prior to that I ran in the Kayanos. I have flat feet. I had the most problems with these, I had to deal with constant irritation from the tongue and top of the shoe. It was a constant struggle to not tie them too tight, yet tight enough to provide some support. I'm currently looking for my new shoe and am afraid to try these again.

The Shoe Dog hepled me find this shoe. Great fit, great stability. Greatly improved "bunion" stress from overpronating.

I've been struggling with plantar fasciitis and other ankle/shin/calf pain. These shoes are fantastic on the foot with plantar fasciitis - no pain at all. They seem to support the other foot well - I have tightness, but no pain, and eventually it goes away during the run. I have fairly wide feet and the regular width fits nice and snug. No heel slips or other problems if I get them laced correctly. The only reason why these aren't a five star is they aren't a cushy ride - pretty firm in the sole.

When I tried these shoes on in 8.5, they were WAY to small, so I purchased a size 9. Even though they felt great in the store, I soon noticed ankle and knee soreness when wearing them. Then, I realized that the problem was that the toe area is simply way to wide for my narrow feet. I would only get these if you have abnormally wide feet. Otherwise, I would recommend the Nike Air Equalon or the Brooks Ariel as better motion control shoes.

I have been running in the Evolution from the first generation. I'm a marathoner and "knock on wood" have had NO problems at all. I'm a major pronator and have flat feet. Best shoe ever!!

I wore a size 9.5D in the Asics 2120 shoe and then switched to these. Had to change my size from 9.5D to 10B since the heel was slipping and I didn't have enough room in the front, and now these are the BEST running shoes I've worn to date. Since these are already pretty wide even in the B width, I could get the better fit in the heel and the right length. I suffer from severe sciatic pain since my last pregnancy 3 years ago, but these shoes have been absolutely therapeutic! They are very light and still have great cushioning. All around great shoe! (Would like a bigger selection of colours though!)

These shoes did not work for me. They felt bulky and inflexible with not enough cushioning. My knee was uncomfortable after just 3 miles on the treadmill.

Great shoe. I run 6-8m every other day and have great support, no pain ANYWHERE! By far the best shoe on the market.

Great shoes! I tried to replace my evolution2 with the foundation7 and I got a lot of pain on my calves. Last week, I got these gel-evolution3, these shoes really provide motion control on overpronators like me. The only thing that I would like from Asics is that to get these shoes in other color than blue (for me this color is kind of blue!). I would be nice if you can get these motion control shoes in Yellow, Gold or any other shiny color :o)

Fit is off. Have wide feet and order up a half of size when it has been recommended to go up a full size. Feet were sliding forward and to the sides. Subsequent foot pain. Great for casual walking but not for any serious exercise routine.
