At first these shoes felt great, but after putting in some serious miles (run 40+ miles per week)I started to develop plantar fasciitis on my left foot. I've never had problems with Asics before until I tried the newer model.

These shoes are super comfortable and do not blister or rub, even when they are being worn for the first time. I've run on my pair for about 6 months (almost every day) and have no problems with them at all other friends on my track team with these shoes have had not problems either. Definitely recommend them!

They were ok for short runs, I've been an Asics fan for about five years now, after running a marathon in these, you lost me. My heels started killing me (never been an issue before), and continued to hurt almost a year later.

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I bought this shoe for cross country training. At first, I loved it. It feels great when you wear it at first. It is light, and has a great fit. After a few runs, the cushioning gets worse and worse. I developed many problems because of lack of support, also. The cushioning is not fabuluos, either. I am now, after wearing this shoe, suffering from planters faschitis/achilles tendonitis. Although, my physical therapist credits some of this to the fact that I'm still growing. With a more supportive and cushioned shoe, these problems have gotten better. I would not recommend this shoe to people who need alot of support, and generally run on the road versus trail or track. They do provide plenty of room for orthodics, though. I would recommend to runners with a light build who run moderate mileage. Good stability. I had mixed feelings about this shoe.

By Melissa

from Undisclosed

I've been running in Asics for 5 years and each year I complain that they change the shoe, but each year I get the new model and all is fine....until the 2130s. I got these shoes early on in my Boston training and they sidelined me for almost a month because my feet were in so much pain!!! I had major arch issues in my right foot every time I ran in them. The medial ankle bone on my left foot as well as my heel bone on my left foot became very sore and tender to the touch. I could not even put a shoe on my foot...all because of these awful 2130s. I was happy to find that they brought back the 2110s and snatched up a few pairs and all those pains went away instantly and I was able to get my Boston training back on track.

By Chloe

I love these shoes. They're extremely comfortable and great overall - just one suggestion. If you have low arches,I recommend you buy arch supports or special inserts with more support in the arch. After running long distances daily, I developed posterior shin splints from lack of arch support. Otherwise, these shoes are great!

By Sarah

from Undisclosed

This shoe has great cushion in the heel. However, I sent it back before it even hit 5 miles. The shoe "slaps" the ground with the forefoot. It is not a smooth transition from heel to forefoot. Out at 6am on a back country road and you could even hear it! My feet ached after 1 mile and I gave up just after only 4. I've ran thousands of miles in a whole lot of shoes and never felt this in any other shoe. I have never had pain in my feet so IMO these are not that great.

I love these shoes! I wore out my 2110's, which I also loved, and was unable to replace since, although they brought them back, they didn't offer narrow width and I wear a 2A. I just got them a couple weeks ago, but they stand to make my feet as happy as the 2110's.

I bought these shoes after having problems with another type of running shoe. I have custom orthotics. I am unable to run in these shoes w/my orthotics due to blisters on the arch of my feet. However, I love these shoes with no orthotics. Plenty of toe room and support. So far...no pain when running w/o orthotics. Ran 13 miles in Asics and they peformed like magic. No blisters or pain.

I have worn this Asics line for 10 years and loved them - until this model....there is almost a rocker on the bottom which results in a feeling of a very thin sole at the toes and causes a lot of force transfer to the arch and midfoot - very painful and disappointing - I think I'll order up the 2110s while they last!

I'm surprised about all the notes about no cushioning... I just bought these yesterday and found them to be like walking on air! Ran 5 miles today at a higher speed than usual (treadmill) and was amazed at how energized my legs and feet felt during the whole run compared to my old shoes - it was great! I can't comment on the outside running, but for treadmill I found them to be excellent. Will have to see how they hold up over time but very happy so far!

I really like these shoes. I couldn't wear the 2120's. They hurt the side of my forefoot. I was a loyal fan of 2110's which I can't find in wide. The 2130's are very nice and I have not had any forefoot problems. They are easy to break in and the cushioning and stability are excellent. I may even like them better than the 2110's.

I have been wearing ASICS for years without a problem but I have to say that I HATE this model. I have now had two pair and the insoles on both were too small and slipped up the back so that when I run (20-30 miles a week) my toes hang over. I don't think I should have to buy new insoles for an additional 10-20 bucks to have a pair of shoes that work. I have two friends that have my past experience with ASICS and they hated these too... I would buy a different model.

The 2130s fit really well in the ankle however, there just isn't enough coushining for the ball of the foot, and this has been a issue for asics ever since I tried running in them. They're very responsive, and being a college athlete they're great for tempo runs...I wish there were more color choices in the narrows...I'm getting pretty bord with the dullness!

If you had or have Morton's neuroma, stay away from these shoes. The ball of my foot hit some hard spot and it felt really uncomfortable. There was absolutey NO WAY that I would run even short distances on them. I guess that, otherwise (i.e. if you have no neuroma issues), it would be a very nice pair.

Tue, March 18,2008:
I've been wearing this model since they were 2090's. I've never had a problem with blistering in my arch area until I switched to the 2130's. I wore a 7.5 wide in the 2120's and decided to only size up a 1/2 size with the 2130's because according to reviews, the toe box for the 2130's was generous. I tried the 2130's in a 7 wide and experience major blistering in my left arch after runing 6-7 miles. I changed socks and that still did not fix the problem. So I ended up ordering another pair a full size up- 7.5 wide thinking the other pair were too small. But sizing up a full size did not solve the problem- I still have major blister issues. It is very frustrating because I never had that problem with any Asics before. I have a marathon coming up in 2 months and it looks like I am going to have to compeletely switch shoes. Which is disappointing because I've always loved this shoe. Besides the blister problems I do like the shoe- it's very light and fits like a glove

I have been running in the 2000 series for more than a decade. I loved them! I bought the 2130s to replace my 2120s so I just bought the same size, 9 wide. They felt a little big standing but I decided to give it a go anyway. I did 6 easy miles in them and my feet hurt like hell. I had to ice my left foot after the run because my arches felt like they were being torn apart. It was pretty horrible. I've always just run straight out of the box and not had problems. I don't know why they changed the size for the 2130s.

I had bought the 2110's and lovd them! Saved my from having surgery on my foot...I went to get another pair and found out I had missed a few upgrades...no worries...this pair is even better then could have imagined! i highly recommend them for anyone with any ankle/arch issues/over pronation!

I love this shoe...going to stock up before they change it! The cushioning is even better than the 2120, and the toe box is wider and more comfortable. Great shoe.

This is the best shoe ever, I have loved every stride of it. Before I ran in this shoe I had achilles pain, hip pain, and ankle pain, after 4 miles. I just ran 21 miles and felt no pain anywhere. I love them!!!

I love these shoes. I have been a runner for close to 2 years and had constant problems with blisters once my runs got over 10 miles. These are the first shoes that I can run without blisters and I am so excited! They feel so light and unrestrictive. I hope they stick around a while!

These are awesome. I had the 2120's, loved them, and the 2130 is even better. The toe box is wider, which was good for me. The cushioning is perfect, and they have a stable ride.

LOVE this shoe except for the fact that it's much too roomy in the heel and arch. I feel like I'm slipping laterally as I run, and my width is traditionally average (far from narrow). I hope that this can be fixed through a more narrow fit (and less appealing color options- BLAH!). As for the support and comfort, I ran over 5 mi in these right out of the box, and there has been NO problem. So if your foot runs on the wide side, then this should be your dream shoe.

This shoe is wonderful! So much better than the last 2100 series. A lot more cushion, yet still has the stability you'd expect from this series. So relieved to have this update.

I like this shoe better than the 2120 and I really liked the 2120. The 2130 has a softer ride and has a bit more room in the toe area. When I run in this shoe it feels as if I don't have anything on my feet. Fist time this has ever happened for me in 10 years of running. Awesome shoe all around.

Found the 11.5 2A at a different store and bought them... they fit like a glove. Roadrunner, please stock these in that size so I can keep shopping with you!

I really like this shoe. Lived in 2080's for as long as I could, but I can't find them anymore. Tried Mizuno's and took them back after the 1st run. I still have issues with one toe that is the biggest point on my foot, but I'm happy I finally found a new show I can use for a long time!

Excellent shoe. 8 mile run right of the box with no problems. A softer solyte is great and feels very similar to the 2110! Holli (previous post) mentioned the shoe isn't offered in an 11.5 2A which is not true. A6 does make an 11.5 2A. This is the size that I use and it fits perfect.

I ran 10 miles with them and they are really comfortable. They are lighweight, soft & cushion and the size fits perfect. I'm so happy with the purchase and your excellent service and promp delivery. You are the best! Keyla Jimenez Puerto Rico

Tried this shoe in 12 2A - too long, too wide. Tried it in an 11 2A - too short, width perfect. Makes sense that an 11.5 2A would fit perfect, right? Too bad, not offered. There is at least 1 inch difference in length between the 11 and the 12. I would gladly pay $300 for a pair of shoes that fit. It is so frustrating.

45 minutes into my run I experienced incredible pain on the ball of both feet where the toes connect. Not happy....

I have been through 3 pairs of 2110's and found the 2120 to have been changed too much to be a similar shoe (heel is way too high for me). I put on the 2130 and it felt just like the old 2110's but a little lighter and supposedly more durable. We'll see but they felt perfect on my feet the second I put them on and I had a great run in them.

Went for my first run this am in this shoe and it is an absolute dream! This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. Previously worn Kayano's but this 2130 is awesome!!

The fit is a bit more generous in the toe box.The new solyte is softer than the old and a bit bouncier than speva, almost like mogo. Good smooth ride that feels substantial underfoot and even better after 20 miles. The fit is more generous in the toe box. cushioning is improved, softer than the old solyte but bouncier than speva. Felt better after 15 miles. The new solyte feels similar to mogo.
