12.6 ounces is "too heavy"?
I did not know that.
So what should these shoes weigh?

Shoe felt great in the store but is too heavy for running. Might work for a 200 pound guy but not for the average runner. Just an expensive walking shoe for me.

disappointed, not an improvement on the 2100 series, too stiff, and heavy, doesn't feel like a Stability+ shoe, I keep thinking that this must be like wearing Dutch wooden shoes feels like.

These are working out nicely so far. One thing you notice right away is that this shoe has a very nice toe off. My only real complaint after 40 miles in them has to do with the tung which is constantly sliding way to the side out of place. It seems that it's either not long enough or that the lace ...

I just came back to Ascis after running in NB for the last 10 years and I am not disappointed. The 30000 is solid shoe which is comfortable and has decent cushioning. After 75 miles have no complaints. 6'4 220lbs

This shoe felt great on my foot as soon as i put it on.Has a surprisingly cushy feel and the outsole design in the f/f works well on groomed trails.Sightly heavier than my old Empire 2's but Asics did say it is a closer cousin to the Evolution than the 2000 series.

These feel great. No rubbing. A little bit on the heavy side, but hey, they are trainers. I popped the RRS Cush Runner insole in place of the stock one and can't complain about the cushioning. My Vomero 2's were giving me some wicked PF pain toward the end of their life. Once I started in these...

I'm a 250 lb guy and have ~50 miles in these shoes. Ride is exceptional, heel stability is good (maybe contrary to other reivewers?), without any chafing points for me. Arch-forward stability is less apparent. Orange ain't my favorite color either but so what? Definitely suggest you buy a half-size ...

This shoe has very little cushioning for a Stability+ shoe and at this selling price. They are heading back this week!

Do not work for me at all. I have run happily in Creed, Creed Plus, Empire II (skipped Empire)...but something about these does not work for me - almost instant heel/achilles pain, blisters on side of big toe...I loved the Empire II sorry it is no more...I think I will try the latest GT2xxx shoe.

Love them. Like the original gel empire. Plan on buying another 2 pairs, in case they stop making it.
