For me these were torture. I bought 2E that felt more narrow than my 2130 2E pair. They are cushiony for walking, but give no ride or pushoff when running.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-3000 Running Shoe:

I have always run in the GT 2100 series shoes but wanted to try these after reading about them. Ran the first time today for about 30 minutes, not impressed. The cushion is poor and the arches felt real low. I will return them.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-3000 Running Shoe:

Have been in the 2100 series for quite a while but with my flat narrow feet was looking for more stability, especially in forefoot, with no loss of cushion or flex. 3000s do the trick. Motion control shoes are just too stiff ... these were a good move up the stability spectrum. Similar to NB 859s ... room for my orthotics too.

I bought these for a friend. He loved them with one exception, too small on long runs when the feet swell. He needed them an additional half-size up, but other than that, claimed they were like "butter."

these wore great on the tread but started to give me blisters on the front of my arch and heal on my first run after about4-5 miles, they have continued to do so unless i put on anti friction rub or sometimes the right socks help. They are also hot in the heat with the extra liner. Now after 350 miles they still look good but did wear a hole in the liner on the right heal.they lost there ride after the first 100. thanks

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-3000 Running Shoe:

I needed new shoes but only have a month until my marathon--so I figured I'd better break them in quick. My first run in the new 3000's was a 19 miler and I didn't have even a hint of a blister. New shoes always give me blisters! I switched from the now-defunct Empire II. I find these feel similar but with a little roomier toe box and a much more comfortable lining on the heel/ankle. I love them!

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-3000 Running Shoe:

This shoe is amazing! It's a stability shoe. For me, I really like solid foundation in the back and soft front. These shoes are really comfortable to me and probably are the best shoes I have ever ran in!!! Everyone has a different preference for shoes because everyone has different feet. Everyone should go to road runner sports and take advantage of their "Shoe Dog" service, you will be satisfied!! =D

I own this shoe, looks pretty , felt good until running some distance. This is not a stability shoe, after a mile it feels like I am running in a flat-footed sneaker. I will wear it to the gym an thats it, no running, my feet are numb after a mile.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-3000 Running Shoe:

I have worn many Asics models, but this model seemed to fit differently than typical Asics fit. The shoe felt very sloppy on my foot; the heel is much wider than other Asics models, and the tongue on the right shoe was about a half-inch shorter than on the left shoe. I tried different lacing patterns but it didn't help. I liked the lower profile heel as am a midstriker, but on the whole just didn't work. I ordered a pair of 2130's at the same time and have been very pleased. I returned the 3000.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-3000 Running Shoe:

asics used to be a sure bet, but now a gamble - these were both dead on arrival - no bounce power, and felt clunky - like running in old flat converse sneakers. Can't somebody make a cushioned shoe with a bit of control, that actually feels "new" when you first use it?

Came to this shoe via a recommendation from a running store. I kept getting black toenails and heel pain with the gel-Kayano 14. I am a high-mileage runner that has now run an Ironman and a marathon in this shoe. It has performed great! No problems with stability or support.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-3000 Running Shoe:

These feel great. No rubbing. A little bit on the heavy side, but hey, they are trainers. I popped the RRS Cush Runner insole in place of the stock one and can't complain about the cushioning. My Vomero 2's were giving me some wicked PF pain toward the end of their life. Once I started in these, no more pain.

These are working out nicely so far. One thing you notice right away is that this shoe has a very nice toe off. My only real complaint after 40 miles in them has to do with the tung which is constantly sliding way to the side out of place. It seems that it's either not long enough or that the lace loop is not well placed.

This shoe felt great on my foot as soon as i put it on.Has a surprisingly cushy feel and the outsole design in the f/f works well on groomed trails.Sightly heavier than my old Empire 2's but Asics did say it is a closer cousin to the Evolution than the 2000 series.

I'm a 250 lb guy and have ~50 miles in these shoes. Ride is exceptional, heel stability is good (maybe contrary to other reivewers?), without any chafing points for me. Arch-forward stability is less apparent. Orange ain't my favorite color either but so what? Definitely suggest you buy a half-size up.

Do not work for me at all. I have run happily in Creed, Creed Plus, Empire II (skipped Empire)...but something about these does not work for me - almost instant heel/achilles pain, blisters on side of big toe...I loved the Empire II sorry it is no more...I think I will try the latest GT2xxx shoe.
