5'9", 154, 50 miles/wk. My first pair of Landreths - so far they're great for me. I like the firmer midsole. Have run in Nimbus which was extremely comfortable but too soft and heavy for my taste. I did the no-no of going 18 miles on my first run in the Landreths but had no problems.

6-2 and 200lbs, 50 miles a week -used both 3 and 4 - the shoe is the ultimate comfort for me - light, plenty of cushion - but I am more of a toe striker and the front sole wore out very quickly thus 4 stars instead of 5

These are not too soft. Just right. Good transition. I would give them 5 stars, but I don't like gel; it's heavy, unstable, soft and squishy. I wish asics would make some shoes without gel.

If these shoes are just an unposted pair of 2130s why are so many reviews negative, while the 2000 series is hailed as the greatest ever? I have never worn Landreths, but was interested until reading all of this negative feedback. I have had a couple of pair of Nimbus, but it is just too much shoe f...

I've worn 3 pairs of Landreth 2s, 2 pairs of landreth 3's and put 500 miles on each with no problems. Just got rid of my pair of Landreth 4s after 300 miles, they had no where near the cushioning and of the prior models. I moved up to the Nimbus, which are better (maybe too much cushion).

I will agree with the other reviewers, I have been running in the Landreth for ~4 years without a problem, but I noticed right away that there wasn't enough heel cushioning and my knees were hurting, very disappointed. Otherwise the shoe is very comfortable!

Thu, June 12,2008:
This shoe is a stable, neutral trainer. I'm 5'6", 155lbs, and run 50-70 miles per week. I'm a front of heel or midfoot striker depending on how loose my legs are. There's not a ton of heel cushioning here, but the design of the shoe is such that it encourages a fast transition to the forefoot, wh...

I am 5'10" and 150 lbs. and run 40 miles a week. I have run in the Landreth 3's for about 2 years and love them. The Landreth 4 was stiff and actually hurt the arh of my foot. I now have tendonitis and since I have never had any foot problems before I have to assume this shoe is the problem. I ...

Thu, May 22,2008:
Been running in the Cumulus for years, was talked into trying the Landreth saying they had just as much Cushioning as the Cumulus. I must say they're a pretty comfortable shoe. The toebox is plenty wide, but personally, I could use a little more cushioning in the heel. I run about 40 mile per week. ...

Very Disappointed, Wide enough but not good cushion at the heel . Knees pain because of that

Mon, April 21,2008:
Fits my foot perfectly. 5'9", 175 lb., flat footed, neutral runner. Better cushioning than my last shoe, Axiom 2. Better support than shoe before that, Cumulus 8.

I'm 6'1", 153 lbs and pretty effecient. Usually lean toward light stability/ cushion. The fit & plushenss of this shoe were nice but the midfoot to heel area was really hard on impact and caused knee pain for me.

Sun, March 23,2008:
Fine shoe that continues to meet my expectations. Toe box is minimally larger and toe material better. More responsive than L2,L3. I've gone through several pair of L2,L3,now L4. I like them all .. probably L4 best. Dave

Upper is too loose and no arch support.

the height of rear is not the same. what the heck? sock liner is too high. toe box is too roomy. very disappointed

Mon, February 11,2008:
Even better than the L3 as the upper fits closer to the foot and is softer out of the box.I agree with last post as the first Landeth was more stabile.

Sun, February 10,2008:
Overall a great neutral shoes. A little over cushioned in rear in comparison with landreth 1. Upper is greatly improved with very comfy and ventilated fit. Stability is not as good as landreth 1. The controversial solyte seems more resilient than SPEVA and is expected to last longer.

19.    2shoes rated this product 3 stars
Thu, January 24,2008:
Nice neutral shoe. However it is just as hard as the Landreth 3s. The toebox upper is nice but just is to hard on the forefoot

20.    bill rated this product 2 stars
Sun, January 13,2008:
2 stars for a greatly improved fit. Otherwise, the solyte midsole is awful. I've given these 40 miles over the course of a rest week and I'm a neutral runner. My body is a wreck. This shoe with speva would be a winner.

Wed, January 02,2008:
Just picked these up two days ago and they are very comfortable. If you have a wide foot and are a neutral runner these shoes will work for you. The rear is very cushioned and the front toebox is large. The front mesh is like a/c for your feet.
