After finally finding a shoe that works for me in ASICS Cumulus, I am extremely disappointed with the latest rendition. My knee started screaming to the point that I couldn't even walk in the shoes! I took 'em off and ran in my socks, knee felt fine! ACICS whatever you're doing - STOP!!

This shoe is bad. Im a collegate runner that runs 60-70 miles a week and i'd say this is one of the best shoes ive worn comfort wise. Does ASICS even make neutral shoes anymore? Everything they sell has this piece of hard plastic molded into the midsole ("trusstic")which makes their shoes rigid and unresponsive. I give it 4 stars but thats a bit of stretch. A good shoe but not as good as previous versions. I prefer a "firmer" cushioning and this seems to be much softer. Also I don't care for the heel. The extra rubber provides more control but seems to slow my stride. Switched to the Asics Speedstar.

I am coming up on 500 miles in these shoes. I have been very impressed with them. The new lacing system makes them fit like a glove, so you don't have to lace them up really tight. They have lots of cushion all around. Much improved over the 9's.

asics what happened to your shoes?Original cumulus and nimbus were great.Even the stability shoes around 1995,2020 ect.I can run in any good shoe regardless of control features.But something happened when you started changing the mid-sole material.Speva good,solyte going downhill,solyte next version...

Not happy with this shoe at all. The heal slips (I have to cut off circulation in my left food to get the heal to stay) and definitely not enough cushioning. Very disappointed.

Great Shoe! Perfect combination of cushion and responsiveness. Stable heel with flexible forefoot, great feel all the way around. Doesn't fit everyones foot shape right which seems to be the problem in other reviews, but for those that it does fit, this shoe is hard to beat!

if you are looking for the same shoe as the previous cumulus models, this is not it. The extra rubber on the heel acts like a stabilizer on this model, not allowing for the foot to naturally roll as it would in the previous cumulus models. I wear the 4E, and this version seems narrower than the older versions I've run in (the Cumulus 7 and Cumulus 8). I'm sure it's a great shoe for those it fits, but I'm going to have to switch to something else.

Anyway it swims in the forefoot and the shoe feels uncomfortable on the lateral midfoot when I run faster. I think the midfoot bridge is pushing up into my foot when I pick up the pace ...

This cumulus has changed alot from the 9 but in a good way .The heel is very secure and a tiny bit deeper.It reminds me of the Nimbus back about 5 yrs ago as this cumulus has a very goog gel package under the heel.Alot of work went into this update.Bravo to Asics.

Great update! Better cush fore and aft, the heel is more snug, stable and the overall ride is very smooth. New solyte with the new heel unit works well, fit is nice and glove like
