Finding a running shoe with adequate arch support for flat fleet has been a challenge. The Asics Evolution is my go to shoe. Great support and all around comfort. For very flat feet like mine, I would suggest using an even more supportive insole (ie, Superfeet GREEN).

I love these shoes and wear them everyday! I pronate badly and these give me enough motion control support that I can get through my day without twisting my ankles. I use to wear the evolution 2 and loved them. I tried the evolution 4 and could not wear them. I have not had any problems with blisters like some of the other reviewers. My guess is they got the wrong size. I was told when I purchased my evolution 5's that these run short so go up a size. I am normally an 8.5W and got a 9W.

I run between 18 and 25 miles a week on roads and no longer have knee or back pain since trying this shoe. I added an insert on the advice of a roadrunner advisor and am glad I did. The standard insole is not very cushioned, but is easily switched out for a better feeling insole.

I wear these shoes nearly all day every day. Great for the gym or just walking outside. They are SO comfortable and provide great support. I used to have to wear custom orthotics in my shoes, but not with these. And, I haven't had a day of foot pain since I started wearing them! I do wish they came in colors other than white. The white mesh can be difficult to keep clean. I'm on my 3rd pair and will definitely buy them again!

Used in the gym and running outdoors. Very comfortable for impact but the shoe is cut high and cuts into my ankle bone.

I have run many miles in Asics Gel Evolution 4 and was excited to try 5 but was so disappointed. They fit totally different, hurt my ankles and Achilles and I have never had problems in those areas before. Had to return them after two runs.

i've ran in evolution 2s, 3s, and 5s. 2 and 5 have definitely been the best for me. never had a problem with the 5s and just bought my second pair of 5s to start training for a marathon. i tried on the evolution 4s when they first came out and instantly knew that they didn't fit right for me.

I've been looking for a good walking shoe for years and years and FINALLY I found these. I bought them 1/2 size bigger than normal which really helped. As a heavy person, these really gave me the cushion I needed. My feet feel better now and I can walk further. I wear them daily.

I have had arch problems in the past...having run 30-40 miles a week, I hate to be sidelined with a injury. These shoes are reliable and my arch supports fit in the shoes easily!

Feels much better on bunion area than the Asics Foundation; more cushion in general. Haven't worn it long enough to evaluate wear or best use.

Already bought one pair so this was my second. I have low arches and RoadRunner helped me to pick out the perfect Asics. These provide great arch support, are lightweight for running, are comfortable, supportive, and roomy.

These were not a cushy as usual. I am trying to embrace the new trend of 'less is more', but I guess at the end of the day, I really like cushy shoes.

Have always been the "buyer" to get the shoe on sale. Finally decided to buy the shoe that suits me best. LOVED the Asics Gel Evolution. Might be on the pricey side but for the lower-arched / over-pronator, 100% worth the price. Would definitely buy again!
