Love this shoe. Asics is great for runners with narrow heels but wide forefeet (or bunions), and the Evolution in particular has really solid motion control. They take an orthotic well without compromising the shoe's structure, and they have never given me a single blister. So comfortable I want to wear them all the time, but not heavy either.

These shoes are great! My right foot is a little flat, and these shoes provide support help with knee and low back pain. My arch support inserts fit well which makes this shoe a great all around shoe, for running, x-cross traning and walking or even running errands. I had several pairs of the Ascis Foundation shoe before I updgraded to these. This is the second pair of the Evoultions and I am still loveing'em.

Finding a running shoe with adequate arch support for flat fleet has been a challenge. The Asics Evolution is my go to shoe. Great support and all around comfort. For very flat feet like mine, I would suggest using an even more supportive insole (ie, Superfeet GREEN).

i've ran in evolution 2s, 3s, and 5s. 2 and 5 have definitely been the best for me. never had a problem with the 5s and just bought my second pair of 5s to start training for a marathon. i tried on the evolution 4s when they first came out and instantly knew that they didn't fit right for me.

I love these shoes and wear them everyday! I pronate badly and these give me enough motion control support that I can get through my day without twisting my ankles. I use to wear the evolution 2 and loved them. I tried the evolution 4 and could not wear them. I have not had any problems with blisters like some of the other reviewers. My guess is they got the wrong size. I was told when I purchased my evolution 5's that these run short so go up a size. I am normally an 8.5W and got a 9W.

I have run many miles in Asics Gel Evolution 4 and was excited to try 5 but was so disappointed. They fit totally different, hurt my ankles and Achilles and I have never had problems in those areas before. Had to return them after two runs.

Ran a half marathon in these and would do it again. Recently switched to half a size up to prevent balck toe. Need I say it worked wonders? These are better than the Evolution 4, but not the 1 or 2s.

This shoe gave my pinky toes blisters. There is stitching on the outer part of the shoe that causes a "nub" on the inside of the shoe, that rubbed against my toes causing blisters. Had to return them after one run. I've never had a blister in my life until now.

I love Asics but I did not like this shoe. It didn't provide enough support and I was constantly getting blisters on my toes.
