Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: I've gone for two longer runs (1 and 1/4 hours+) so far. They are very soft--the first run was like running with pillows on my feet (a rather strange feeling). The second run was a bit more solid. (I find that Asics have a little bit of a break-in period.)

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: Great Update! Had the Nimbus9s and the heel was a bit wide and rubbed. The outsole wore through pretty quickly but an overall good shoe. Went to the NB1063 and they were OK...just boring. Then I went to the Vomero4 and fell in love with that shoe. I shyed away from subsequent Nimbus because of the goofy lacing system and the poor outsole life I had previously experienced. The Vomero4 was such a great shoe that I tried on the Vomero5 when it came out but it felt totally different to me. It was much firmer so I tried the Nimbus 12 and was immediately impressed. They narrowed the heel and added a bit more room to the toebox. They also added more cushioning and the shoe feels much better that the Nimbus 9-11s. The ousole also seems a bit thicker and the heel appears to have a little bit of curvature that should help extend the outsole. Well done Asics!

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: The nimbus has a more snug heel and midfoot than the 11, the toebox is roomy and the midfoot brace is less stiff giving better flexibility. The shoe has a narrower midfoot somewhat like the nimbus7. The forefoot has more flexibility, is a bit softer yet is stable with toe off. One of the best versions yet, almost like a 7/11 mix. the ride is great.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: Received an early pair from Asics. Great update because whatever they changed on this shoe hasn't made me want to try something else. It feels a little lighter than the previous model and the fit seems better, more streamline without being tight. I was worried they make this shoe to soft but it remains my favorite with it's plush cushioning feel.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: I started running Sept. 2010 and ran my 1st marathon march 19 2011 at the age of 42. I started with gel blackhawks. They were fine at first till you put miles on them. Then i bought the GT 2150 wow what a difference. Once i put miles on them i started to have knee problems it turned out to be the DUOMAX did not break down like the rest of the shoe.It caused my knees to bend outward and after 13 miles or so major pain. My arches are average.I then bought the Nimbus 12 problem solved. After light runs for a few weeks then the marathon no problems other then everything hurting, but the knee was fine. The shoes dont last long my shins started to hurt every run so i tried the Nimbus 13 and ran a hilly 10k the next day and no pain at all. My son (12)asked me to train for the LA Marathon for SRLA. They give them shoes from N@#$.His knees now hurt so i bought him the nimbus 12 hopefully they will fix him like they did me.This all took place in less then a year

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: I always thought Asics was too expensive so I stuck to Nikes and NBs. But then I had my feet scanned and stride analyzed at the Asics store in NY after I run the NYC Marathon. This was the recommended pair for me. I thought what the heck and bought my first Asics shoes but put off using it until I had fully recovered for the marathon. I loved it at first run! It's light, comfortable and hip as well. At that time, I was alternating this to my Nike's for my daily runs but I've since bought a second pair of Nimbus 12s so I can be on Asics on every run. Love this shoe. You should get one too if you're a neutral runner.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: Great shoe, I'm 195lbs and it gives very good cushion. Only minus is that the first few times I wore them with the original insoles, it created hot spots on my foot soles. Same thing happened with my wife, who has the female version. After switching insoles, problem went away. Wife says hot spots are decreasing in intensity, but whether or not that is due to callous build-up or insole wearing, we don't know. Just food for thought!

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: I have developed some plantar fascitis in my left foot...and my runs (streets of NYC) in these shoes seems to be reversing this or at least enabling it to heal without any further irritation. I noticed that outright when I had to run in a downpour, so I did not want to get the new shoes all soaked...so went out in old different manufacturer pair...and afterwards felt my plantar fascitis irritated much much more...than it has been when I have been running recently with these new Gel-Nimbus 12's.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: I've been using each new generation of the Gel-Nimbus and this one by far is a very comfortable update. A little bit heavier than the previous models, but still a great fit and moves well.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: I'm a recreational runner in my 60s, six feet and 205 pounds. These Nimbus 12s replace a pair of Nimbus shoes I bought a few years ago, before knee surgery for a torn meniscus.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: I log about 12 miles per week on pavement and four days per week in the gym. At 6'2" and 190 lbs I find these shoes conformable, provide good stability and are incredible shock absorbers. I have been running in the nimbus for several generations.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: Great Update. Had the Nimbus 9 and it was ok. Went to the NB1063 and it was boring. Had the Vomero4 and it was awesome. Was not impressed with the Vomero5 (they got rid of the cushioning) so I tried the Nimbus 12. Great shoe. Very cushy and they narrowed the heel (the Nimbus 9 was too wide in the heel and rubbed a bit) and they locked down the arch and increased the cushioning. Love these shoes.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: Just started a 3 month marathon training plan in Afghanistan, haven't ran distance for nearly 7 years. First pair of running shoes that weren't the cheapest on the shelf and what a huge difference. Most runs are a combination of pavement and dirt and shoe has proven durable and keeps my ankles stable, even on very rough terrain. If you have wide feet, these are not the proper shoes for you. Excellent shoe for long runs, especially if you don't want to break the $100 mark.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: I just bought my second pair in less than a month, I love them so much. I have been running in Asics since the late 80's and I think this is my favorite shoe. They fit better on my narrow foot than my Nimbus 11's. They are very cushioned. I'm 6'5", 239 and they absorb the beating of four or five mile runs well. I bought my second pair to rotate shoes, but I might buy another pair just to stick in the closet.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: I am a heavy runner - 6'0" 275 lbs - with high arches. The Nimbus never dissapoints and seems to just get better. Love the Nimbus 12's - pain free running, cushioned landing, great arch support. I like the Nimbus so much, I bought the 13's too!

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: This shoe felt amazing for the first couple of runs... loads of cushion, love the lacing system, and truly fits like a glove. Unfortunately I have high arches and this shoe did not give me the support I need. If the Nimbus had better arch support I would love them. Even though they didn't work for me I would still recommend them as a long distance trainer if you don't have high arches. 6'2", 225 lbs.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: This is my second pair of Nimbus 12's. The first pair I put on about 500 miles. I haven't really had any problems with these or other versions of the Nimbus' since the Nimbus 8. The shoes are comfortable and I generally get good use of them before I move on to my next pair.

Best Uses Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: I've had my Nimbus 11s for about a 21 months so I figured it was time to get a new pair of running shoes. After running in the 10s and 11s, this was the first pair I've had to break in. I usually get a half size larger like it says but I never really "grew into" the others so I got my usual size.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: When you finally find a shoe that works you're really resistant to change. I have owned several pair of Nimbus 11 and absolutely loved them. I stopped experiencing pain in my arch and heal shortly after running in these shoes. So when when I purchased the Nimbus 12 I was a skeptic. Much to my surprise Asics did not disappoint. The shoe fits like a glove but also allows plenty of room in the toe box. The offset laces make the shoe fit better as well. I would highly recommend this shoe.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 12 Running Shoe: A bit expensive, but a good shoe. Very comfortable shoe, but the sole wears down fairly quickly. But most shoes do when you are 200+lbs.
