Second best shoe I have ever worn, second only to the Landreth 3. I am training for an ultra this fall, first time out of the box I ran 20 mils with this shoe and they felt great, a few 10 mile runs a 30 mile and a 36 mile run, I am planning to run a 40 miler this weekend. The shoe still feels great it could be a little lighter but over all I give it 4 ½ stars, I think it will go the distance, I went thru three pairs of the 3s one pair I got over 700 miles on The Landereth 4 was a big disappointment, the 5 was just o.k. and it seems like ASICS is getting very close to perfection with this one.

I loved the Landreth I&II. The 3 was a big change and the cushioning that I had come to love disappeared. I remained Landreth-shy until I read about some of the improvements made to the Landreth6. I have only taken them for a few runs but I have to say that the feeling is back!! Cushioning is impressive with good spring to the push-off. Won't know about the durability for a while but I am, once again, a Landreth lover.

A more plush upper, the heel clutch is great, slightly softer midsole great fit and ride. The upper will be a bit hotter but it's the best landreth since the 2.

My favorite Landreth yet. I've been running in them for 6 years (started with the Landreth ones.) My only complaint is that the toe box is narrower than all of the others. However, after I lost a toenail and got used to it, it was worth it because it is such a great low profile cushioned trainer.

Great shoe! Good cushioning and responsive. This is a very good shoe with inserts or orthotics. The new heel cup/sock liner is very comfortable. Great to run without socks even.

The 6th is another improvement from the 5th. I have been using about three pairs a year, and started with the Landreth II. Great shoe for the neutral runner.
I have noticed that when the shoe starts to break down, you might notice some knee discomfort, time for the new pair. The shoe is not good in extreme cold condtions.

Great improvement; the heel fit is wonderful with a comfy swadelling upper,slightly softer midsole with great support. The best landreth since the 1&2. Asics please use this heel design on the 2000 series and kayano as these have blister issues from the narrow stiff heel cup.

Responsive, cushioned, not mushy, breathes well, heel fit a MAJOR improvement, very pleased with first runs. It's hard to imagine using them in a race less than a half marathon, but they should make longer runs more comfortable than any ASICS shoe I've worn (or their Onitsuka/Tiger cousins back to 1972).

I have 2 pairs of these, each have run 3 marathons. The oldest of the two just retired with 1045 miles on them and just starting to show signs of wear. No discomfort after all of those miles! I have just ordered my third pair for next year's marathon season. The most durable shoe I have ever trained in, the next best shoe was the Landreth 4. I had 1 pair of Landreth 5's and was disappointed with them.

I've been wearing the Landreth since the Landreth II. The 5 was good, but the rigid heel left me with a painful blister after a sweaty, wet marathon. Asics did a great job of solving that problem with the new model. Cushioning is good, and seems a little narrower than previous models (a plus in my book). The cushy tongue sticks up a little, but that's really a minor complaint. Overall a solid, reliable neutral trainer.

I've been wearing the Landreth model for as long as I can remember. I used to also wear the DS trainer for speed work and races, but Ascics changed the shoe. The Landreth model has been consistent. I advise a half size bigger though like most sneakers.

Asics changes the Landreth frequently. Sometimes the fit is different, requiring return and re-order.

Lasts about 300-350 miles. Still looks like new when it loses its cushioning, so they can be worn casually when they are no longer in the rotation for training

I was concerned about the suggestion to order this shoe a half size larger, but I did as suggested and it fits great! The way it cups my heel is wonderful, no movement at all.

Great shoe. Have owned all 5 prior versions. I am a heel striker and sometimes have trouble getting 300 miles out of other shoes. Got over 500 miles on 2 different pair of version 5. Definitely my high mileage training shoe of choice.

I have a high arch, narrow foot and I prefer a lightweight trainer. That said, the Asics brand has always given me the best fit, and the Landreth is currently my favorite model.

My podiatrist recommended this for my foot type and to provide more cushion for my plantar fasciatis. Running in it for two weeks and am a fan. The heel cup was the selling point.

On my third pair of Landreth 6. Truly a great running shoe. Average 40-50 miles/week on these shoes and they continually deliver. From distance training to races I truly enjoy the fit, weight, and overall feel of these shoes. In over ten years of running Asics has yet to let me down.

Great for high mileage running. The new heal control design really holds the foot in place. I ordered 1/2 size larger than I normally do for a running shoe.
