I've been running in the 3020 for a couple of months as a result of getting a test pair, and from the outset have been really impressed with the update. The cushioning is wonderful, the pronation control is efficient and effective without being overly intrusive, and since wearing them my 7 month PF issues that have plagued me for 7 months have diminished significantly (whether or not it can be attributed to the shoe is unknown - perhaps it's merely coincidence?). However, that being said I consider this to be a great stability shoe that's for sure a step up from the 2040 and fits nicely between that shoe and the Kayano. Definitely a shoe worth taking a look at if you fall into the moderate to moderate/plus stabiliy category.

no complaints, I use for road running, but also run in the sand and on treadmills. quite versatile shoe for us clydesdales.

I'm a 200+ lb runner. Shoe offers good stability and support. Fits well, no blisters. Seems a bit wide. I have to really lace them up tight to keep them from feeling sloppy. But once they're laced up tight, they feel good.

The Gel Empire was the first generation shoe in this class that I found helped me to run my first marathon. The shoe is comfortable and balanced and provides me with optimal pronation control. Asics retired the Empire series and replaced them with the 3010's. I purchased the 3010's when they first came out and they were horrible. Asics quickly made modifications and replaced them with the 3020. Reluctantly I purchased a pair at the expo before the Peachtree 10K Race in Atlanta, used them race day, and have never looked back. I have purchased 4 pairs of the 3020's and have never been let down.

I've been wearing the Kayano for years. But I haven't liked the 15 or 16 too well. It seemed like all of Asics shoes started fitting me to snug & didn't like the lacing. So, I switched to New Balance 993 but didn't like the (non) cushion feel. I took a chance & ordered the 3020 & the wide width. Wow! These shoes remind me of the my old Kayano's! I have only run in them 4 times but they feel great & my pace & stride feels like I'm home again. Way to go Asics! I'm a 200 pd runner and need the extra cushion & support. Really looking forward to the future runs.

I have owned a a lot Asics and I keep going back.Probably the best shoe out there of this type.Never have been disapointed and I have been buying them for fifteen years.Theres not one thing negative I can think of to say.

Just switched over after one of my pairs of Nike Structure Triax 12 hit the 500 milage mark and am rotating the 3020 with my other pair of Triax. Was having a Piriformis issue. I added some stretches for at the time I purchased the 3020 and it cleared up. Shoes feel light, comfortable and have a real nice feel and ride to them. So far I have about 5 runs and 50 miles on them and my only complaint is that on the longer runs, one of my one toe's develops a small blister. I'll try some different sock combos and see if it clears up.

I run/jog 25 miles a week on trials/ dirt roads I am 5'7" 170# these are the first asic's I have bought in 10 years (mostly nike) but these shoes are the nicest I have worn in awhile ! I will buy more asic and look at nike second!

I'm a fairly heavy runner (180 lbs) and need some motion control but motion control shoes usually are too stiff and heavy. These are lighter, not stiff and give just enough motion control yet they hold up well - 400+ miles. Typically I run 30-35 miles per week and peak at 40-45. My only complaint is on wet surfaces they tend to slip a little depending on the surface.

I am 213 pounds and running to lose weight and get back in shape. I used to run in the Nike structure triax 11, and have had my eye on Asics for a while, mainly the Kayano.Then I saw the 3020, and it seemed like it would fit my needs for a little less money. So far its been money well spent. They offer a good deal of cushion and pronation control. My left leg has been bothering me a little, but sinc emy right leg is pain free then its most likely me not strecthing enough before and after runs. I highly recommend the shoes, just hope they hold up longer than my Nike did.

Long time Asics fan who was a little unhappy with the changes to the 2150 shoe and looking for a new daily training shoe. At 63 comfort, cushioning, and stability are most important and the 3020 is perfect here. A little on the heavy side but any shoe that keeps me injury free and on the road works for me. Besides, it makes me feel even faster when I go to my racing shoes.

Needed to update my ride and refuel my motivation for competitive running. This shoe did both. The ride is fast, light, and comfortable. The shoe makes running on bluff ridge roads simply wonderful, especially near sunset. It's like riding in a convertible with the top down and the wind in your hair...and behind your back.
