I can't believe these are "trail" shoes; nothing like the early-generation clunky shoes. I run about 25 miles a week, 80% of those miles on logging roads and forest trails; however they even feel great when I have to hit the pavement. They have excellent support, traction, and responsiveness. I don't know how they stand up to time since I've only had them a month. Some serious smarts went into engineering this shoe.

I have been a Asics ONLY user for at least 20 years. This shoe lives up to the first time perfect fit as long as you buy up one size. I ran a 14 mile trail race after wearing these two times and there was no breakin period. Fine fit with no blisters or rubbing from the get-go. The drawback is that the shoe needs to be more robust for rocky or mixed trails. If you have a dirt trail or any soft surface it is great. If you have skree, rocks or bolders it is needs more support. This shoe has the same great traction or tacky feel on rocks that most Asics have. Another slight issue is the toe box and toe protection being too thin. More material and more stiffness in the leading toe point is desired. Overall a good shoe but Asic has made many better trail models and obosoleted them in favor of this type.

Using the shoes for Running trail with the H3 in Europe. They handle muddy trails well and are durable enough for when we leave trail completely and cut straight through the woods. I just bought my second pair.

Great overall she, great traction and good for about anything. Might be a little heavy for racing, but comforts well worth the weigh.

Perfect fit right out of the box. I had to add an arch support because of my high arches but other than that they are the most comfortable shoe I own. Great traction uphill and down. They are wearing better than average and I use them everywhere, street, trails, gravel roads. I run 25-35 miles per week. Excellent support,great cushioning. I just ordered my 2nd pair.

I've not been able to run for the past few years, but I still walk 4 to 5 miles per day. This shoe is the most comfortable and durable that I have found.

I wear this shoe everyday with my orthotics as a regular sneaker. The style is terrific and the kids I teach all said, "Nice Shoes" the first day I wore them. The shoe performs on all terrains. It can be rugged trail shoe with excellent traction or a gym shoe that grips the gym floor as well as any sneaker. I beat it up for seven hours a day and it still is in good shape after six months.If it came a little wider I would say it is perfect.

Traction in the rain and mud is very good. Be careful when you come inside, they have no traction on wet tile.

I use thse to run trails and they are great, btu tend to get a little hot if you are running in temperatures above 60 degrees. I am training for a 50k trail run in them. Great shoe if you like Asics!

I bought these as every-day shoes, not as running shoes, but they turned out to be much more comfortable than I expected. The look is "cool" and they are not only sturdy trail shoes, but one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned.

Finally a trail shoe that seems to have it all. Running the rocky and rough trails of the Texas hill country has ate up more shoes than I could care to mention, but these not only stand up well to the rough demands of sharp rock trails but they also are unbelievably comfortable while doing so. Grip is fantastic especially on the down hill and regardless of the weather, wet, dry, they do a good job giving you the confidence that where you place your foot is where it's going to stay. Asics did well with the new version, very well.
