I use these sneakers on multiple surfaces. I walk or run on the street to get to Cowles Mountain where I usually go hiking. These sneakers are perfect for getting to the mountain and have great traction on the uneven terrain of the trails.

I have very high arches and these sneakers are not designed for high arches. I chose these sneakers over neutral sneakers because of the traction. Great choice. I use my own inserts and my feet feel great.

I love these sneakers so much that the pair I owned before these was the exact same pair.

I just ran 18 miles in the Marin Headlands, with steep up and downhill trails in very wet weather. This shoe fit well, had great traction even on very slippery downhill slopes in the rain. Much improved over the Trail Sensor 3 edition I ran with last year. GREAT COLOR! If you made a more waterproof version, I'd buy a bunch.

I trail run 4-5 times a week. This is the best shoe I have ever bought in 20 tears of trail running for cushioning, and traction. I have a slight pronation issue so I use my orthotics to balance this out and they fit perfectly in this shoe. I plan to buy a second pair now for the future. When you find a shoe that is almost perfect by more than one pair!

These are not quite rugged enough for the terrain I tackle; I say good for manmade trails with pea gravel. The rock mountain trails that I run, tend to blow right through the cushioning sole. I think they should be a little more durable in the soles to accomodate rough terrain; otherwise fits well and feels really good.

I can't say how these perform as a trail runner because I use them only for road running (about 7 to 9 miles daily). I can say that this is my second pair of these shoes and I plan to continue buiying them. They are lightweight and comfortable, cushioning and rugged. I really can't find anything I don't like about them. They also happen to look really nice as well.

I am really happy I found these! I have a pair of asics gel keyano 15, which are great for me, a beginning runner. What drew me to those is the asymetric lacing system. I was so happy to find a pair of trail shoes with the same feature, and the arch support is great too! At first I thought they might be a tad small, but they turned out to be fine. I bought these as a replacement for the keyanos that are starting to wear out, and am very happy with them. I suffered a broken foot a couple of years ago, and I still have problems getting shoes to fit that foot correctly. These are great, and Asics seem to be the winning brand for me! I recommend them highly! My only con is that I had to buy new shoelaces, the ones that came with them were too short and didn't stay tied.

This shoe is very comfortable. Great traction. The cushion in the heel is great, but it does cause the shoe to fit tighter than other ASICS. I order a half size up in my ASICS Kayano's (size 7). I did the same with this shoe. Although it is a little more snug than my Kayano's, the fit is still good and I did not need to go to next size up.

I'm a trail runner, orienteer and off-road triathlete. So not only do I exclusively run off-road, but when orienteering I run off-TRAIL.

I LOVE THESE SHOES.

They say they have a "rock guard," but I don't feel one-- which is a GOOD THING. I get really good trail-feel from these shoes without going to full-on "barefoot shoes."

They're also just nice and sticky- I thru-hiked/ran the Enchantments (20mi) in these shoes. Most of that route is bare rock- my shoes really stuck when I wanted them to!

Plus, they have a little pocket on the tongue for tucking in your shoelaces-- another big plus for orienteering, when I am running straight through the bushes. My laces don't get snagged and I don't worry about them coming untied.

They're relatively lightweight for a trail shoe. Weight-wise, they feel like a running shoe-- not a bulky day hike shoe.

And bonus, I like the funky colors. They look even better once they've been "browned" by the trail.

I bought my first pair to race an Xterra.

I bought my second pair when when they I saw they were endangered and were also on sale.

I hope next year's model isn't too dissimilar!

I have collapsed bones in my feet due to neurologic damage as a side to multiple sclerosis. On the advice of a podiatrist, I switched to stability plus models of Asics to be able to continue walking. The GEL-Trail Sensor Asics are heaven on cement! They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn ever. Realizing that they were actually made for those of you who run, I am thankful for them even though I can no longer run, but I can stand and walk with the right shoes. Thanks Asics.

I have flat feet, pronate and use orthotics: My podiatrist recommended this shoe. It is super comfortable and has a wide lacing span which enables you to create a wider toe box for full length orthotics. Previosuly, I wore only ASICS GT2150 and have found the Gel Sensor 4 to be superior in comfort. Also, it is a good looking shoe with a unique color scheme! I highly recommend this shoe.

I bought these on a whim totry out a new stability shoe for multipurpose use (hiking, circuit training, running and wear to work). I LOVE THEM! They are lightweight but have great support and cushion. They are so comfortable. I usually buy shoes a half size up (I am an 8.5 and always buy sneakers in a 9), and they fit perfect. I actually usually get wide shoes, but these only come in medium and the fit is still right on. I would definately buy again, wish it came in another color!

Just bought these shoes and they are really comfortable, especially when you normally have to wear shoes to break them in a bit.
Have worn them to the gym, volleyball and outdoor sports on grass so far so good. They provided really good support and traction.
Good colour too!

I am a High School PE teacher and I am on my feet all day long. After work I workout. I do bleachers, plyos, agility drills - typical athletic workouts. These shoes are great! Very stable and comfortable. I workout on multiple surfaces and this is just the perfect shoe to do it in! I highly recommend this shoe to anyone who is very active and they train in more than one place!

This shoe has excellent traction! I went hiking in an area with a lot of sand and was very pleased with the traction I had. Some friends that were along for the hike were sliding with their hiking boots. They went out and bought these shoes after the hike.

The next day, I went for a 4.5 mile run near the same trail and was very happy with the support and stability.

This has been the most comfortable trail shoe I've used. I have been running trails for 20 years and the 1st trail shoes that came out were very heavy and clunky. It was better to use road running shoes. These shoes are a perfect blend of the comfort and lightness of road shoes and the ruggedness, protection and grip of trail shoes. Follow the advice and get 1/2 size larger than you normally wear.
