      In my opinion, the 1100 series is the most under-rated running shoe ever and I've been running in them since the 1120's. I've also ran in Wave Riders (11 – 13), Cumulus (9 – 11), Wave Inspire (3-6), Glycerin (7 & 8), and several others, but consider the 1160's the best bang for the buck shoe on the market. They are light, transition good, have great cushioning, and give just the right amount of stability on long runs. Give them a try – you won't be disappointed.

        The ASIC Gel-1160 is a great shoe for larger runners. I am 6'-2", 205, and put in about 40 miles a week training for this years Ironman in Idaho. The added cushioning in this shoe saves my joints from the impact of running all of those extra miles.

          I've run in this shoe for two months and average 20 to 30 miles a week on paved and dirt roads. Shoes felt great right out of the box. Provides good support and stability without restricting normal foot motion.

              Good bang for the buck. I'm a heavy runner 215lbs @ 5'10", and I run appx. 15 miles a week. I also run with GT-2160's and an older pair of Kayano-14's. I've found the 1160's have a softer heel / and a little less gel in the forefoot - compared to the 2160's. I recently ran a 10k with these shoes and had no issues. They breathe well too - just the right about of stability - ultimate plus is that they're affordable.
