I just want to second the first reviewer in saying that it is too tight. I have the predecessor (GT-2150 Trail) and love it, but this one (in the same size) is too tight. Am returning for another size up.

Great looking shoe, very cool. Light and airy. Feels a little tight and kind of long. I guess running shoes are built that way? or people that like running have long, narrow feet? IDK. I am athletic,but not really a runner. I had to get 10.5, but most of my other sneakers are 10's. The right shoe feels tighter. Left feels good. Make these a bit more wide and I could go with a 10!

The guide says the shoe runs big; I think it is a 1/2 size small. I have been using RRS for years and this shoe just runs a little small compared to the other Asics such as the Kayano. It is understandably stiffer by design and works well running on treadmills, dirt and gravel. i took it overseas and am running 20 miles a week on them and they are quite durable. the toe cap helps a lot.

I was looking for a day to day shoe - work shoe.
Do to my low arch type and knee surgry I do need some more support.

I also live in MN so it can be 99 one day then 10 the next day. For work I'am a Job Coach - fill in driver. Some times at the center I have to deal with tolits that over flow. So I also need something to keeep my feet dry.

So far so good, Kind of tight but I have narrow feet for a man. This is the only day to day shoe for me. I just hope Asics dose not try to flash it up and keeps it dark! Also If Asics dose make it wider I hope I can get it in a B width?

These are exactly as advertised and designed. They are the trail version of the 2160. As a result every design component of the 2160 is slightly enhanced and beefed up in the trail version. The pronation support is also enhanced, which could be the only draw back. If a mild pronator uses these shoes they may find that the correction is a little too much as opposed to the 2160 which is functional but not aggressive. These shoes actually compete with the Triax in terms of control. They are very solid and provide cross training type support as well as an acceptable running platform.

I have been an Asics user for years, but these shoes are my most favorite yet. When I go them, my first use was for a 15K race and even though you are not supposed to use new gear when you race, I had no problems. Within a week of buying the shoes, it rained and I got out on the trail and was two inches taller when I finished the run. But I had no problems at all with the shoes. I could not tell you the last time that I got blisters while wearing Asics shoes.

I've shopped VIP for awhile for shoes for me. During the holidays, my husband said he really needed a pair of athletic shoes "just to toss a ball" with our son. He's never shopped VIP and has a high arch. I asked him to fill out the ShoeDog questionnaire and we chose a pair from among ShoeDog's choices. I've been consistently happy with shoes chosen for my flat foot. My husband is thrilled with the pair ShoeDog chose for his high arch. That's two for two!

Good sturdy shoe. These run narrow. The shoe string isn't long enough. Not using the top eyelet did the trick. This is not uncommon with the GT-2160 predecessors.
