Good trail shoe on solid or loose dirt. Lacks stability when wet and shoe gets very sloppy. I had trouble after crossing streams and the shoe got so loose that my foot was sliding everywhere. Otherwise it is a nice shoe for easy to moderate trails. Very lightweight!

Wow, what a difference the right shoe makes. This is my 3rd trail running shoe since moving to western Co a year and a half ago. Since I bought it my mileage has steadily increased because this shoe does its job. Traction is awesome Have run 5 times now in falling and packed snow, so far no yaktraks needed. Cushion has been great and durability through the first hundred miles has been exceptional.
The only con is I wish it was a little wider and had a slightly higher arch(personal preference.) That being said the initial narrow feel went away after the first 25-30 miles (4 runs.)
I will be buying 2-3 more sets for when these wear out.

I use these only for trails and extreme surface condition running...a must have for anyone that likes to get outside in the toughest conditions. You will not be disappointed when you bust across an area of snow, ice, mud, and uneven rocky surfaces. Wyoming Rocky Mountain tough & approved!

So, this shoe has been particularly good to me and I am so happy with it that I am ordering it again after having it for just under a year. I bought it last year in mid August and have used them frequently up until about a half month ago. I took them on a week long backpacking trip in the Sierra and had no foot problems, and then one week later hiked Mount Whitney in them, with some minor foot pain but this was the end of the life of the shoe. I used them many a time running as well as hiking the trails of the greater San Diego area, and have used them running on residual snow several times, where they work really well. I have a very public fake relationship with the shoes and fondly reffer to them as Trail and Shoe. The only thing I at all didn't like was that they are a bit narrow, but after a while they wore in and that problem didn't bother me after about a month in. An all around great shoe which I would suggest to anyone!

This is the best trail shoe I have owned. I have used Saucony running and trail shoes exclusively (except for one pair of Montrails) for years (decades). I run 6-12 trail miles each week and have experienced foot pains and blisters the last couple of years. I decided to change from Saucony to Asics--and am I glad I did! I can hardly believe the improvement--lighter, better stability, much more comfortable. Although my feet are average width, all new running shoes (including these Asics) seem slightly too narrow. And I have found that I have to buy a full 1-1/2 sizes larger to have a comfortable fit; that has been true for Saucony (and now, Asics) shoes. I wish RR would make it clear that the "1/2 size up" doesn't always work...I had to return the first pair of Asics I received.

Maybe I read a lot of review on youtube and elsewhere about the shoes. so had high expectation. But it feels like some other trail running shoes. Colors a little weird, and a bit hard to clean the base if you go for muddy runs.

I bought this for trail running, but I have found that I like it more for just walking around the house or the quick trips to the grocery store.
