Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-3030 Running Shoe: Probably the best running shoe I've owned in 36+ years of running...stable, durable, cushioned. I run 45-50 miles / week...no days off...152 lbs. As I normally don't race over a 1/2 marathon, I cannot vouch for the shoe's marathon training / race performance.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-3030 Running Shoe: The Asics 3030 is an awesome shoe. I have been running for 35 years and have worn the whole spectrum of shoes including Nike, New Balance, Mizuno, and Asics. I was a fan of the Kayano for about 5 years until they came out with their asymmetric lacing system. I tend to overpronate and that shoe is intended to be for runners like myself but it is a miserable concept and exaggerates forefoot pronation. I actually sent my last set of Kayanos back to Asics and they sent me a pair of the 3020s which I wore until they wore out and they were great shoes. However, the new 3030 version seems to have gotten it just right. They are lighter, a tad bigger in the toe box, and have a lot more cushion. There is something about the forefoot cradle that stabilizes the first metatarsal joint .That joint experiences a great deal of stress in pronators. The shoe seems to maximize energy transfer through the stride. I have been running in them for about a month now and rate them an A+, miles above the Kayano even though it is not their "flagship" shoe. I think I need to stock up on a few pairs before they move onto the 3040 and potentially mess up a "perfect" shoe!

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-3030 Running Shoe: I've tried every major running shoe brand and I always end up going back to Asics. This shoe has great support for the late-stage overpronator as extra support runs up into the forefoot area. Very comfortable. I have about 25 miles on mine and thinking about buying another pair. I am male, 175lbs, casual runner on asphalt and gravel roads.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-3030 Running Shoe: For a couple years, I've been trying to find a replacement for the discontinued Mizuno Renegades. They were the only shoe that could comfortably control my over pronation. I thought the Kayano would do the job, but the toe box felt too big and didn't control my forefoot pronation. These shoes are slightly narrower than others I've tried, but the narrow fit makes it feel more comfortable. The shoe has great cushioning, but isn't as breathable because of the cushioning. Hopefully these shoes become more popular so that they bring out more colors. Overall this is a great shoe and I'll definitely be ordering another pair when these ones are done.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-3030 Running Shoe: After Asics stopped making the Kayano 15 (the best shoe I've ever owned) I've been searching for another running shoe. After pretty much giving up on the Kayano 16 and 17 (mainly due to really large toe boxes in each) I am delighted to find the 3030. It's not quite as cushy as the Kayano but still very comfortable. Thank you Asics and thank you Road Runner for the Shoe Dog tool that directed me to this other Stability Plus shoe.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-3030 Running Shoe: This is one of the best shoes I've ever owned. I am a 6', 135lb High School XC runner. I have pretty weak arches and need a lot of support considering I run over 30 miles a week. These shoes provide a great amount of support, and are durable enough to last me a lot longer than my usual shoes. After the Asics Kayano-18s, (which I hated because they hurt my feet), I bought these for Cross-Country and they are fantastic!

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-3030 Running Shoe: Another excellent shoe in the 3000 series. I ran in my 3010s until the tropical heat and humidity of Pohnpei delaminated the outersoles. Note that by true to size I mean that the shoe fits true to the ASICs sizes I always wear. My foot is essentially a 9.5, but I always wear an 11 in an ASICS shoe. Our heat and humidity mean foot swell is a real issue on longer runs. Ran a half-marathon in the 3030s in 88 Fahrenheit weather. My legs were still fresh when I crossed the finish line.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-3030 Running Shoe: I've owned alot of shoes over the past 20 years. I started out with New Balance until i got a new pair of Asics for the first time. The first ones were great except the soles wore out so quickly. over the years Asics fell off and now I believe they are back on top. Ive also ran in Brooks, Reebok, Adidas, and Nike. In comparison the Asics remind me of the Brooks 9s and I would have stuck with them if they had'nt ruined it with their 10 update. The 3030 fit like a glove, cushioned and make you feel like a true runner.

Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-3030 Running Shoe: This is the best shoe in this Asics line ever, for me. I have gone through Creed, Creed Plus, Empire and the entire 3000 series. This shoe is so lightweight and comfortable, works well with my othotics. I was off running for four months to let a bad case of PF heal, and have been back since August with these with no sign of a return of PF. Reminds me a great deal of the Adidas Adizero Tempos I also loved, that used a "forefoot medial post". And I like the looks of them.
