I loved the 2150s for years, and was extremely disappointed with the 2160s because they were heavy, stiff and too large in the heel in both width and height. I was convinced they contributed to a few injuries I experienced during my training with them. Obviously I hesitated in purchasing the 2170s, but the phone rep convinced me that all of my complaints were addressed in this new version - and he was right! The 2170s are lightweight, flexible, and the heel fit has been tightened up. I've been running on them for three weeks with zero complaints except that I wish that there were more color options for the D width (which hardly qualifies as a complaint).

I got this to train for a half marathon, it is a good durable running shoe. Very breathable, light and fits like a glove. I run on road, pavement, trails, and sand, a lot of sand, so the breathability lets in more sand but that comes with the terrain. I got custom soles to replace the ones it came with for my high arches, but my shins and knees don't hurt anymore. Great stability shoe, love the color, I got the grey and purple because of the red sand I run in everyday. I think their cool and cute. Love 'em!

I use these shoes almost every day, and they are really good quality in terms of supporting the foot and cushioning. They're a little heavy compared with shoes with less stability, but its definitely worth a few more ounces to not be in pain. I've been looking for a top quality shoe to help me bounce back from injuries, and these definitely deliver the support I need!

Mild over-pronator, shoe recommended by shoe store. I need a shoe with room in the toe box but a narrow midfoot, otherwise I slide all over the place. These have room in the toe but the midfoot is so loose my feet end up slopping around, which contributes to injuries. I also think they sized me up a 1/2 size too big. I doubt I will buy these again. I previously used Nike Pegasus and will probably go back.

Ordered these shoes after I wasn't happy with the Brooks GTS 12, and I was pleasantly surprised with these! Took them out for their first run on a 85 degree afternoon and they were incredibly comfortable/cushioned right from the box. Not clunky or awkward in the slightest, which was exactly what I was looking for. The only slight downside to these is that they are a bit on the heavier side, but the great cushioning makes up for that. Also, the purple/charcoal color is great!

I was a long-time Brooks Adrenaline/Trance user, until the newer models came out and no longer have the cushion and comfort I used to love. No problem-o...because Adidas has created the GT 2170s! I wear the DS trainers for shorter runs, and these for my longer training runs (over 10 miles). No break-in period needed, good stability and cushion. As previous reviewers have mentioned, do not size up when ordering these shoes.

I would ignore the 1/2 size up ordering advice! I'm a Kayano wearer, this will be my fourth pair, I was trusting the ordering advice and they were definitely too large. I wore them once at the gym to test on the treadmill and my foot was slipping all around in them.

I have been buying the Asics GT series shoes for about 6 years and have always loved their great cushioning with just enough stability to help prevent injuries (I'm a mild overpronator). Unfortunately, after just a few runs in these shoes I noticed that my feet HURT by about mile 3 or 4. The cushioning was not nearly as comfortable as in the 2160s and other previous models. I've seen other reviews online saying that the shoe is less stable as well, but I didn't notice that as much as the change in cushioning. I think Asics changed some things in their design from previous models(perhaps to make the shoe lighter in keeping with current running shoe trends?), but they definitely sacrificed quality in the process.

This is a great shoe. Super comfortable and handles the impact of road running very well. I've used these shoes to train for several half marathons and they've held up very well. Also, knock on wood, I've been injury-free with these shoes. I highly recommend them.

I purchased most of the shoes in the 2100 series through the years, this did not feel anything like the same shoe. It feels really flat & long and the heel seems lower than the toes, the arches feel like they are in different places in the shoes. I was very disappointed.

I run 3x a week average 15 to 20 miles. I have had this same shoe 3x in a row. It feels great and perfect for my foot. It doesn't give me any blisters even in marathons. It lasts me about 9 months then I can tell on my arches it's time for a new pair. The big toe usually starts to get a hole about 6 months and I wish it had more colors to choose. But overall love it!!

I was so bummed when these shoes arrived. I have the 2160 model and LOVE them - but after 2 half marathons I can tell it's time to get new ones. Since I couldn't find them anymore, I ordered these. I put them on and walked around my house and couldn't believe how different they felt from the 60's. The heel was unbelievably tight. I could tell I would have blisters instantly. The 2160's needed no breaking in, and these for sure would have. I returned them the next day and am still searching.

I have always worn the Kayano but wanted to try something different. These shoes were comfortable when I tried them on; they fit like a glove. However, about 4 miles into my run my arches began to ache and at the end of the rune my feet, legs, and knees really hurt--I have not had this type of pain in many years. Not enough cushion and arch support. I will be returning.

After reading the reviews and talking with a customer service agent I thought this shoe would be a good replacement for my Brooks GTS 12. I never had a problem with my Brooks, but I was interested in trying something new. These shoes arrived and I took them on a couple short runs and my feet immediately started to blister. I found them to be very clunky- I felt like I was wearing clown shoes! I thought I'd try them on one of my longer runs, but halfway through my arch was killing me. I decided that I gave these shoes a fair shot and they are not for me, so I'll be returning them. I bought another pair of Brooks GTS 12 and my feet have never been happier!

I love this shoe! I tried 10 different brands (Nike, NB, Salomon, Brooks, Adidas) and this one was the winner I am size 7 and bought this half size up and it's perfect. I do have somewhat of a higher arch so I do use inserts. I run about 15-20 miles per week, and since wearing this shoe I have no issues with calf/ankle pain like I used to.

after going through 2 pairs of shoes looking for ones suitable for long runs, these are the ones! i run about 20-30 miles a week and wear these to the gym. i also climb mountains in these babies. great traction, minimal slipping. they're good for trail running too! super comfortable. sometimes during long runs my feet get really hot in these, that's about the only bad thing about these shoes. other than that they're perfect!! :)

Loved these shoes at first! Have worn 21XX series for years. Always have been best for my feet. I wore these for almost 3 months, put about 200 miles on them. Got my first blister at 2 1/2 mos. The toe box is big and the cushioning seemed to break down in that amount of wear. The shoe laces are short, therefore hard to get them adjusted just right. Ran my first two 5K's in them, but not happy with durability.

These are great! I have had this line since they had 2120s. I like the 2170s. They are a little snug along the laces compared to the 2160s so I need to loosen the laces at times.(hence the 4 star vs 5 star rating) Overall great.

Definitely get 1/2 size big- I have had to with all the 2100 line
