      This shoe is GREAT! I'm a trail runner and was always set on the shoe I ran in. When I read about this Fugi Gel Racer I thought I would give it a try, I'm really loving this shoe. I run a lot of single track, rocky trails out here in the desert and this shoe feels light, fast and has great traction! It's a pretty cool color too!

        I use these shoes primarily for trail and adventure racing. They are well fitted so agile trail running is not a problem. They are light weight so racing in them is a natural. They also breath well for those hot running days. For adventure races, water is released through the drains in the bottom of the shoe, which takes it away from your foot. Great design.

        I would consider it a *near* minimalist shoe. So if you are use to the large heal on, say a Solomon Speed Cross (which I also run in), then the cushion will feel sparse. There is enough cushion to use these shoes as daily runners.

        I have purchased several pairs because I like the feel and performance so well.

          Broke these shoes in on a 50k trail race.they were comfortable right out of the box,never had a problem with traction,even with the wet,rocky,muddy terrain! Excellent shoes, verry light, I will definately buy these shoes again!

          This shoe has a very low heel and feels like I'm standing on uphill ground. I can see this shoe would really start causing me to have heel pains all over again. Sticking with my Salomon speedcross 3 for trail racing, much more comfy.

            First, I tried purchasing a trail shoe in the Newbury Park store. The staff was very helpful and patient. Because nothing in stock fit well they ordered the Fuji for me, delivered to my home, with the understanding I would return them to the store if not satisfied. I'm satisfied!
            I've been destroying running shoes off road and wanted a fast shoe for very rough terrain. The Fuji is lightweight, slim on support, but has a tough, flexible sole that allows you to feel the terrain but grab the same terrain. Compared to running shoes, the tendency to slide in loose dirt and rock is minimized. These shoes are keepers. Big thanks to the guys and gals at the N.P store!
