For everyone completely bummed out by the redesign on the 13s (like me) fear not!! The 14 is back to the comfort I originally fell for in the 12. I hated the 13 so much that I've been hording 12s to stock up in case I never found another shoes that made me happy. I have duck feet, narrowish heels with a wider toe and the 12s provided perfect balance for their shape. But the 13s came along with a much narrower toe box...not even accommodated in the wide widths. I was so disappointed!! But after trying the 14s ans feeling that immediate comfort I'd been used to in the 12s I knew the pain of the era of the 13s was no longer an issue. I bought my shoes at a marathon expo and the Asics rep said he had heard nothing but complaints about the 13s so I know I'm not the only one with the problem.

I bought these at the last minute before the Eugene Marathon because my Nimbus 13's were a little old and my Brooks Glycerins just didn't feel 'great'. I ran 2 miles on the treadmill a day before the marathon then wore these to run on the big day. They were fantastic! No blisters, no leg or foot pains beyond the normal tiredness - not bad for 48 yo legs that don't train enough! I have a wide foot with a high instep and bought the D width and also bought a half-size larger than normal (which is a full size larger than my street shoes). Now three weeks later they still just feel so balanced and cushy compared to any of my other shoes.

I got the Nimbus 14 after running in the Cumulus 12 for over a year and loving them. When shopping for replacement shoes, I tried several different neutral shoes from different companies, and came back to Asics because the roomy forefoot works well for me, the upper doesn't typically cause me any bad blisters, and they just seem to feel better on my foot than other brands. I have a very narrow heel, and both the Cumulus 14 and the Nimbus 14 have a much better (snugger) fitting heel than my old Cumulus 12s, and the forefoot feels just as good.

I ultimately chose the Nimbus 14 over the Cumulus 14 because after trying them both on, the Cumulus seemed so much less cushioned. I think it seems less cushioned than the old Cumulus 12, honestly--especially in the forefoot. I've done several runs in the Nimbus, from 3 to 6 miles so far, and have loved them. As another reviewer said, it's like running on pillows. One thing I will say is that once I get over 4 miles, I do start to notice that I have the shoes on. I guess I'm saying they feel a little heavy. For that reason, I might get a pair of Cumulus and wear them for my long runs. Overall, I really like the Nimbus, and the gray upper with blue sole and purple liner is really nice looking. For what it's worth, I wear a 7.5-8 regular width in street shoes, and wore an 8 in my old Cumulus 12s, but was getting some blisters on the ends of my toes once the weather warmed up and my mileage increased. I got an 8.5 in these to prevent blisters, and it works well. I have a neutral foot and am a light but injury-prone person, and I run mainly on streets.

I have been wearing the nimbus for several years. I was excited to try the nimbus 14 since it was lighter and supposed to be improved. Unfortunately, I knew as soon as I put it on that it was very different. The toe box felt much tighter than the 13. The 13 gives my toes plenty of wiggle room, but the 14 totally squished them! The tongue seemed stubby and rubbed the top of my foot. And the heel cup felt stiffer. I ran in it anyway thinking it just needed to be broken in and after 2 short runs (4-6 miles each) I gave up on the shoe. The 14 does feel lighter than the 13 and despite the rubbing, it provided good cushion. The only other complaint was that the shoe laces are short. Not much chance for a runners loop or even double knotting. So I'll stock up on the 13 and wait (impatiently for the 15!). May even try some other brands.

I wear a 6 1/2 B in every other shoe but a 7 1/2 W in this one. It feels great, but this new model is longer than the last one.I have worn this shoe for years but find the sizing changes.

I use these for gym running, road running (15-20 miles/week)and gym classes. I did not like the roomy toe box in the 12's, loved the narrowness and arch support in the 13's and the 14's have some great updates. They run a 1/2 size large for me - I had to return the 9 for an 81/2 and I wore a 9 in previous models. I love the lower heel elevation, heel cup revision and the sole of the heel protrudes less, making my heel/toe stride feel more natural. I can also tell they are a bit lighter. I wish they had the offset lacing like the 13's, which is worth a star for me, but they are just as cushy and comfortable. I love them.

I have worn the Nimbus series for the past 8 years. I have never had any problems with the new models until the 14. The toe box is too narrow and the forefoot cushion seems to be less than in prior models. I have been running in the 14 for two weeks and every joint from my waist down hurts. Nothing else has changed so can only attribute it to the shoe. It saddens me as I have such great success in the prior models.

I took them straight out of the box and added a mile to my run today. They are lighter weight than the previous 13s. Great cushioning. The nimbus 14s do not disappoint!

Currently wearing nimbus 13. Bought the nimbus 14 in my usual size and 1/2 size up, as I heard they ran small. Neither fit well and the arch stitching made the shoe very, very uncomfortable. I returned both pairs, then tried on the nimbus 15 - an entirely different shoe. Will buy this one instead!

I've been an Asics buyer for years. I recently switched to Saucony, but when those wore out, I tried the Nimbus again, since they've been great for me in the past. I tried them on in the store, jogged, did lunges, and they felt great. When I tried to run in them, my right forefoot hurt so badly I had to stop. I tried to adjust the laces, thinking they were laced too tight. When I loostened them, my feet were sliding all around, like I had no control. I tightened them once more, just a little bit and my feet & legs were hurting so badly I had to stop within 20 min of my work out. When I took them off, one of laces broke off. I returned them the same day. I felt like these shoes were flimbsy, and just very dissapointed with them in general. I ended up re-buying my Saucony shoes. Incidentally, I use the Grid Triumph model, for anyone who didn't like these and wants more cushionning and stability without getting a "motion control" shoe.

Road Runner Sports website and catalog educated me to that I have been wearing the wrong shoes for years! My knees have suffered from years of running and working out. I love Asics Gel-Nimbus 14 Running Shoe. My feet, ankles, and knees do not hurt after long, fast walks. And, the shoes are not wearing out.

I wore one time and realized that they are similar to the Nimbus 13's. They are just not made the same as the Nimbus 12's were-they were an awesome shoe. These are tight around the base of the toes and just aren't great like the 12's. I returned and ordered a pair of Nimbus 15. They came today and they are AWESOME. I had read that Asics listened to the customers and made the 15 to be similar to the older model that people really liked.

I've been wearing gel nimbus since 11. They were great the moment I put them on. With the 14 they have gotten rid of the offset laces and they are not as comfortable or productive for me. I'm looking for a new pair of shoes.

Tried the new Cumulus 15 and they just did not have enough cushion in the midfoot compared to older models. So I tried these - first run this AM, and I can tell already these are going to be a winner.....Soft, cushiony, supportive, not too snug (which can be a problem for me with the ASICS but NOT this time).

I ABSOLUTLEY LOVE these shoes! They feel like they mold to your feet. I switched to these after previously using the Asics Culumus 14 and I actually like these better! I had a major hip injury from training for a 1/2 marathon and these shoes really give me the support and cushion I need! Not to mention the FABULOUS colors!

I had a very hard time deciding between these and the NB 1080v3. The NB felt lighter, but the color combos were so obnoxious for the NB that I chose the the Asics. I have no regrets though.
The Asics are fantastic. I have a slightly narrow forefoot and a narrow heel and they seem to fit perfectly and snuggly without any sloppy extra room.
I love the feel of the arch support. I have a compressed nerve on my outside arch, which many shoes can aggrevate and cause me a lot burning and pain. I happy to say that they haven't caused me any issues in that area.
I am also run on the balls of my feet and they shoes provide awesome forefoot cushioning.
I love wearing these shoes.
