Wow! Awesome improvement over the GT-2170. I felt the last model didn't "hug" my foot and provide enough cushioning, but the GT-2000s definitely provide that extra cushioning needed, plus added stability without adding weight. I am training for my first full marathon in these shoes and am love them so far. The new colors are great too!

I have put 10 miles on these shoes and would prefer to never take them off. They're incredibly comfortable, especially with the footbalance insoles that Road Runner custom fits. Love the colors, fit, and style.

Ok since Asics ditched the 2170 I felt I had no choice but to try this shoe. I'm not sure if it will work for me. I love to run but I have some ankle issues and I pronate. Asics have been my go to running shoe however this one doesn't seem to correct my tendency to walk and run on the outside of my foot. I don't have pain in my shins when I run in them like I would with other running shoes I just feel like in order to make the shoe lighter they took out support. I encounter a lot of woman that run and we all agree the 2170 was the best shoe for us. I know we may not be hardcore runners but we sure were loyal to asics. I may exercise my option to return within 90 days.

Was so excited to get a new pair of Asics, have been wearing them for long, so decided to change reference to Gel2000 since I need stability. I run, walk and work out in the gym (body combat) every day. My feet are on the narrow end, but I wear B-medium in all Asics, (except these horrible shoes)and have no bunions or promient toe. Was so disappointed on the first run... the logo in the inner side goes up to your toe and makes some kind of pressure on it, that it was so bad I have a bursitis on the 1st methatarsal joint. Turned them over and still trying to decide which new pair to get, but waiting for the pain to go away. So, if by any chance you have bunions or any toe issues these are not the shoes for you. When I found out how terrible they were, was dissappointed of not paying attention to some of the reviews which didnt reccomend this shoe either. Ill stick meanwhile to my Gel Noosa, and Mizuno Wave Inspire.

I was really happy to see that RoadRunner had this shoe in narrow (2A).
Previously, I had an older model of the same shoe, which worked fine - apparently I pronate and this fixed the problem. But my foot moved around a lot, especially my heel - both inside heels had little holes where my heel bone would rub. I used the shoes with Powerstep and tried different lacing patterns, but finally decided I must have narrow feet. It turns out that this shoe fits my foot much better and I have been running more comfortably.

Just getting into running and had only been running on a treadmill. Got these on a Friday, ran a 5K on Tuesday wearing them for the first time. No issues, no aches, no blisters. Love them. I may even begin to love running.

I have extremely tiny feet , high arches, I roll my feet when I run and walk for that matter. Road runner asked all the right questions to get me the perfect shoe. As well as the shoe dog process and adding extra support via inner soles that were molded to my feet. My shoes are just perfect! I am so happy with the professionalism , service and product I could not be happier:) Thankyou road runner sports and Asics for the shoe.

I've worn these shoes for my entire running career and the only time I veered away from them, I ended up with foot problems. Great shoe. I normally have aches and pains all over my body and would expect to have them with running but I've trained for and run two marathons (one was five months after having a baby) and countless races in between and have felt fantastic!!

good cushioning, great stability for my rolling ankle. Not the most attractive shoe on the block, but very comfortalbe, which is VERY hard to find for me.

I have a pair of the Asics 2000 trail shoe and love them! I ordered the 2000's hoping they would be just as great in fit and comfort but the toebox was too narrow. I sent them back. I am a loyal Asics customer but I had to go with another brand this time.

I purchased these because my GT-2160s were wonderful...but worn out. I was super excited about the new grape color and LOVE all the bright new colors coming out (Noosa, etc). I have mid-to-high arches and my tendinitis in my arches flare up whenever there isn't good enough arch support. These arches seemed lower and less supportive than the GT-2160s. I added my awesome Babolat tennis inserts ON TOP of the existing and that cured it. Not sure why, but the GT line always seems to have more support inside and the outside foot wall easily rolls out (neutral runner)and I sometimes fear of turning my ankle with all the height. Also got dirty faster. Like the cushioning of the GTs, but if I could do it again, I'd have probably tried the latest Gel Nimbus or Mizuno Creation 14.

The sizing no longer seems true. I wear an 8.5 wide and it was now too small. Went up a half size bigger to a 9 M and my heel slips out the back. I need to return them and try another make.

I'm a 40+mile per week marathon runner. I've worn the Asics 2100 series for probably the last 12 years and loved them, although in recent years I've felt Asics are cheapening the materials.
The soles seem to wear out much faster.

I bought the 2000 being the next model after the 2170, and have concluded after about 150 miles that I'm disappointed. The colors are good, finally, but the fit has deteriorated from the 2170. The heel constantly slips which I've never had before, and the forefoot is much narrower, being uncomfortable. Also the upper part of the shoe is much thinner and not as supportive. The tongue doesn't seem as padded as previous models.

The shoe fits/feels drastically different from the 2100 series I've enjoyed in the past, enough to make me look at other brands. I will not be buying another pair of the 2000's.

I ordered this shoe because I loved the purple and pink colors to wear with my cute outfits. I normally run in neutral shoes and was so happy to say this is a great light fast shoe.

Was told to get this shoe by my podiatrist, as I have plantar fasciitis. Also wearing orthodics and still getting used to the feel. Feels great without orthoditics as well. Great feeling shoe. Wear them to work out at the gym and for everyday wear during cold weather months. Have only had them a little over one week, but like them so far.

I am just starting to run 3 to 4 times per week again and mileage is pretty low. This shoe seems to have just enough stability and cushioning. Love the colors also.
