    This is my first pair of ASICS and so far I love them. I've found with other shoes I end up with pain in my calves (I'm an over-pronator) after long runs. So far I have not experienced any pain with the GT-1000s. They have some sort of gel cushioning in the heel which makes them extra confortable, which is sometimes hard to find with a stability shoe. I also love the colors this shoe comes in!!

      I was worried that spending this kind of money on shoes was going to be a waste.. Not true at all.. My shin splits are gone.. My ankles feel 100% better. My feet LOVE my new shoes.. I wear them all the time. I hate to take them off.

          I used these to run my first Half Marathon and did in fact, buy a second pair to rotate as I work towards my race next month. The addition of the Roadrunner inserts for my high arches was a definite plus. I find the shoes comfortable, solid and lightweight. I am a fan of Asics running shoes and these did not disappoint.

                I have been an Asics fan for a long time but have struggled with them this past year. I so wanted these GT 1000's to work out, they are a great color. Unfortunately these and the Kayano 18' s were much bigger than previous models... Very disappointing, returned these for some Newtons

                I am training for a half marathon, and my previous shoe was the GT-2170. I decided to go for this one instead of the GT-2000 because I liked the colors. I know, not the smartest idea. So far I get pain in my left knee in these - very low stability support and my left leg needs it more I guess. I am returning these back. Too bad. They may work for you if you don't need the extra stability. The colors are FUN.
