These remind me of Nike Free, but with much better support (pliable, but not jelly).
The forefoot is firm enough, which is a must for me. I just have to feel the road whether running or walking (no springs please).
My previous Asic was the Gel DS Sky Speed (which I loved), but these are way way better. I mean, I was sad when I couldn't find another pair of Sky Speeds, but now I'm like throwing rocks at my old pair :-)
Don't go too big on the fit. I generally wear a 10 & have moved to a 10.5 at the advice of the folks at Road Runner (few years back). Was steered this time towards an 11.0 after getting my foot measured, but after a week I had to return them (just too big).
So, I would say these run true to size & to only order up if you find that's what you need during a long run.
Comfortable, light ride
I am a 25 mile/week road and track runner. I have been running for several years in Asics DS Trainers, but was looking for something else because the latest DS Trainer has a hideous color scheme. One pair of those was enough. So I bought these Asics Neo 33 2's.(I'm an Asics fan.) Right out of the box these shoes were very comfortable, not too stiff, good cushioning. I don't know how well they will wear. I've only run in them for about 70 miles so far. In the DS Trainer I wore a size 10, but in the Neo 33 a size 9.5 fits. I do feel a little bit of slippage in the heel, but not enough to cause any blisters. They just fit differently than I've been used to. Overall, I have been very satisfied with this shoe.
Good shoe, great price
This is a good shoe, a solid ACICS choice. I'm a 25-30 mile a week runner, occasionally do a 5k or a 1/2 marathon. I find that ACICS shoes all run about one size larger than my regular street shoe size; I wear an 8 in street shoes and always a 9 in ACICS so in that respect it's true to (ACICS) size.
This is second pair that I have owned. I find that after about 250-300 miles they start to wear; I can always tell when it's time for new shoes when my knees begin to bark. Most ACICS will last me closer to 350-400 miles. But this shoe is well-priced, comfortable, and overall a great deal.
Not Another New Shoe
I primarily use this and all my other Asics shoes for street running. I just wanted to try something different than the Kayano and 2100 series. I did try this on about a year ago in Palm Springs and knew I wanted to try it.
I love these shoes
This is my second pair, and just in case, I bought a third pair to keep in stock. This is an awesome shoe.
Good Looking, Average Cushioning
I used Neo33 2 couple of times on treadmill and returned them cause I was looking for more cushioning.
Decent run shoe.
These are decent shoes but I prefer more bouncy spring to my step, which this shoe does not have.
My New Kicks!
Not happy. Too tight. Would like to swap out for another...
Good shoe, overpriced, poor service
