Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Forte Running Shoe: I wanted a replacement for the Gel Foundations that are no longer available, but this shoe is not working for me. While I do have a narrow heel and I am an overpronator with flat feet. I also have bunions on my big toes which are squeezed by the narrow front part of the shoe. This shoe also doesn't have the arch support the Foundations had either. I don't feel I could run the long distances that I did in my Foundations. I am very disappointed and am searching once again for a different shoe. Asics, please try again!

Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Forte Running Shoe: I got my Asic gel with support as recommended by my sport's medicine doctor to take care of my flat feet. I'm not overweight, but I did get the weight support option. I ordered a half size too big and my normal size. I had to return my normal size shoe, (for store credit).
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Forte Running Shoe: Definitely not a replacement of the Evolution 6. I was using those because they were the best for cushioning my feet whenever I got stress fractures. I didn't love them.....heavier and not so stylish, but they made my foot feel better and that is all that mattered as I just want to keep running. I got these and at first hated them. Not cushioned at all, Quite stiff. But I was determined to give them a try. After a week of breaking them in, I am beginning to enjoy them. But I am now looking for another highly cushioned shoe to protect my feel. I run a lot every day and need something to protect my pounding, flat feet. Might go back to the Kayanos or try the Nimbus. The Foundation 8's were the BEST. Wish they still had that one.

Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Forte Running Shoe: I did my homework before ordering these shoes. I'm so glad I did. I really like these shoes, but I probably wouldn't had I not gone up a half size and width. These are some of the cuter shoes in the Motion Control + family.

Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Forte Running Shoe: I am giving this shoe a second look. I really like the great motion control of this shoe. The cushioning is very different than the evolution but I think I really like this shoe

Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Forte Running Shoe: I was leery having to change from the Gel Evolution 6 to the Gel Forte, but my fears were quickly erased after my first run! The Forte is lighter than the Evolution and they were so comfy, right from my first run! My 3rd run in my new Fortes was a half marathon, and I had no problems at all. Thanks, Asics, for another awesome shoe!!
Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Forte Running Shoe: I wore the Gel Evolution series for years due to low arches, over pronation, plantar facititis and bunions. They are the best motion control shoes I ever found after much trial and error. I could always get a good fit by removing the Asics insoles and replacing them with my custom orthotic insoles. Unfortunately, the Evolution has been discontinued and the Forte doesn't have enough room in the toe box (even in D width) to accomodate my orthotic. My toes hit the top of the shoe and its quite uncomfortable even though its only mesh on top. Wish Asics had not changed the design. Back to the drawing board for me.

Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Forte Running Shoe: I consider myself a moderate to sever overpronator. I have been wearing the foundation 10 and moved to this when they were discontinued. This shoe is much more stable than the foundations. It offers much more pronation control. It was too much for me. If you are severely pronated you'll probably like this shoe. If you're looking for a replacement for the foundations this may be a bit much for you. I am a physical therapist and I will likely recommend these to only my severe cases.

Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Forte Running Shoe: Found out I had to choose a 'motion control' shoe in a D width and wasn't impressed with the choices until I came across the Asics Forte's. They are cute and don't feel like bricks on my feet. 20 miles in...so far so good.

Best Uses Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Forte Running Shoe: When I first ordered this shoe, I ordered a 10 medium, and it had a very narrow fit. Then I ordered the wide version, it was too wide. I tried to wear a sock in the wide, it felt like the my feet were moving around alot. I tried to put my custom orthotic in 10 medium, and it helped some, but still really not comfortable. I like to walk/run about 4 miles a day. This shoe does not have the cushioning and the comfort level the previous shoe (Gel Evolution 6) they made for flat feet. The color of this shoe is very pretty purple and gray, but the comfort level is another story.

Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Forte Running Shoe: I like the Gel forte. I have been wwearing the Gel Evolution for years. I am glad these ones finally got some color in them, the evolutions were very bland.

Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Forte Running Shoe: I loved the gel evolutions. Terrific cushioning. Can not say the same about these. They have very good motion control but they feel stiff

Best Uses Comments about Womens ASICS GEL-Forte Running Shoe: If you are a runner that needs motion control tennis shoes, stick with ASics Evolution 6. These shoes are very uncomfortable, not enough cushion. I have a wider foot, the shoes feel narrow. If you need pronation control, it works! My left foot is sore!
