    Good road shoe, light without stability control. Low profile but you can still feel the cushion. I have Road Runner orthotics in the shoe. I think the previous generation fit a little better.

      If you liked the fist excel you probably won't like the new one. Asics removed the gel from the forefoot and with it lost the soft landing that the 1st model had. This shoe went from a long distance trainer to a mid distance trainer. I cannot believe they charge the same price for this shoe even though they give you less. This shoe is now a blur33 with some lipstick on it. Save money and buy the blur.
