I'm a 62 yr old, 165 lb male runner; been running for 15 years and run about 15 races a year, 5k to half marathon. Most of those years I've worn gel nimbus, though I've tried other brands in an effort to get some style. The Gel Nimbus 15 has turned out to be one of the most comfortable models to date. I have always trained and ran races with my nimbus. Needless to say, you can depend on RRS for excellent service.

I've been running on the Nimbus line for quite some time. I really liked my Nimbus 13's but was disappointed with the 14's.

Asics obviously took the feedback they got from the 14's and made some improvements. The shoes still feel light for the Nimbus line but now has better support and cushion. I did a 5K to break them in and even on hard pavement it felt like I was running on a rubberized track surface.

These are good shoes for a heavier runner (I'm 205 lbs)and offer a good balance of support while still being pretty light.

I thought this shoe would give me the support that I needed. However, It gave me too much support. This shoe gave me sever shin splints like never before. It looks great, but the ride can take a while to get used to.

Work really well for running on pavement, asphalt, or on the treadmill. These are the most comfortable running shoes I have purchased so far. I have bought Asics in the past with no fit problems, but these seemed a half size small so I bought the half size bigger than normal.

This shoe fits and runs great. I have been waiting for this shoe since the GEL-Nimbus 12. It is even better and I did not think that was possible.

I have had several foot surgeries and need a very cushioned shoe. These by far are the best shoes I have ever came across. Tons of cushion, and very light. I will be buying another pair soon.

5'9" 165 running 5 miles a day with longer runs on the weekend. training for marathon in October. I used the 13 and loved it tried the 14 when it came out and had issues so i bought another 13 but this 15 is nice. I have been running them for a few weeks and they provide great support and cushion. Will pick up another pair to start alternating.

The shoes were super comfortable in the store and while walking around. I ran 3 miles in them and returned them right away. They were way too soft and it felt like I was running in the sand on the beach. Great for walking around in but definitely not for me and running. I'm use to a firmer sole.

Walked in expecting to get the Asics Gel-Forte but decided to go with RR's recommendation which worked out great. The Gel-Forte, designed for flat-footed people like me, was ONLY cushioned in the heel but not the front of my feet which made for a hard landing. The Gel-Nimbus is cushioned all the way through which makes for a very soft landing. Perfectly complements my custom orthotics.

definitely more cushion than the 14, seems a bit larger than the 14 and doesn't have the same lining as the 14 for us sockless runners BUT awesome cushioning!! I hope this shoe wears well for the long run.

I love these! Been an ASICS user for more then 20 + years and these are the most comfortable for someone at 200 + lbs.
I use 2 pairs for every other run (5 days per wk)to extend life out to 5-6 months
Really very comfortable

I am a recreational runner who runs about 4 half marathons a year. I have over pronating high arches so I really need a neutral balance shoe. I also need to lose some weight so I really put a poundin. On my feet. These are the 4 th consecutive version of these shoes I've tried and they are the best so far. They feel more cushioned and comfortable than the version 14 ones that I loved. Some years I race out to buy the old model on close out. Not this year. I loved the 14s. I love these so much more! If you need a neutral balanced shoe, this is for you !!

I have been running in Asics Nimbus shoes for more than 10 years. I began with Kayanos, but am now of an age when there is not much padding on the bottoms of my feet. :) I really appreciate the extra padding of Nimbus. I run with orthotics so the combination makes for a fairly heavy shoe, definitely not trainer weight! The comfort and control provided by the shoe definitely offset the weight issue.

The shoes fit well enough and they do have nice cushioning and would have been my new favorite shoe had they taken a little more care in building them. The problem is you have to wear really thick socks to keep the knots they tied on the inside to keep them from rubbing holes in your skin, it's very painful and I live in Florida where it's to hot to wear thick socks. I even tried covering the knots with moleskin but it ended rolling up before I had ran a mile. I thought about cutting the knots out but was afraid the shoe would fall apart. I love roadrunners 90 day love'em policy because these will be going back. Beware if you have to tie your shoes tight to stop heel slippage these knots inside the shoe will hurt.

After losing me with the Nimbus 13 and 14, and after returning several NB, and a couple of other brands, I decided to give the 15s a go...just in case. the shoe is a marked improvement over the 13 and leaves the 14 for dead. I have run about 30 miles in the shoes since getting them and have had no problems, the shoe is soft and very comfortable great for tall heavy runners like myself. I did have to go up a width size however to get the right fit, this is after 20 years of the same size nimbus. If you are looking for a light, sexy, fad driven shoe, Nimbus may not be for you, but I think this was the problem with 13 and 14 - Ascis seem to have gone back to basics with this shoe and left off all the fads. Look the shoe isn't prefect, but what shoe is, after sending back several shoes of different brands the Nimbus 15 are back on track. God knows what Asics was thinking with the 13 and 14s, but thankfully they have gone back to a good all round shoes for the common man (not a 150lb high speed tri-god)
Would I recommend them to a friend - yes, would I do it without thinking or hesitation...maybe not, Asics is going to have to earn my blind loyalty again.
