Don't miss your chance to catch this hot new shoe! 11.5 ounces
These are some of the heaviest Nimbus shoes I have ever owned. I weighed these 15s compared to other shoes that I have in my current collection. All the shoes I weighed were size 11. Here are the numbers per shoe. Nimbus 13 = 12.3oz / Nimbus 14 = 11.8 oz / Vomero 8 12.0 oz / NIMBUS 15 = 12.8 oz. That ends up being a whole oz. heavier then the 14s. I didn't think the little bit of extra weight would matter but it feels like my feet are glued to the ground. The cushioning in these shoes are soft and plush. That being said, the shoes are soft and comfortable but they are unresponsive. On runs I feel very slow. The combination of extra weight, slowness factor, and the accumulation of blisters between my toes has made these shoes a no go for me. The color scheme of the "light show" shoes are the best in the nimbus 15 line-up. Another cool extra is if you hold your shoes to a light source for a moment and turn out the lights the gel in the crash pad glows. Very cool. Most of the positives I have read seems to be coming from heavier runners. My specs 6'2" /170-ish / neutral step /moderate heel striker / 30-40 miles a week. All in all I am disappointed with this edition of the Nimbus. I wouldn't say this is a bad shoe but it is definitely a shoe that doesn't work for me.
DRAMATIC OVERALL REFLECTIVITY & A.P.M.A.
Currently, I RUN/WALK Twenty-One (21) Miles per Week, Rotating Daily within my Japanese ASICS Collection. This is my Fifth (5th) Pair within the ASICS "NIMBUS" series. I Purchased the 'LITE-SHOW' specifically for the 'SAFETY' factor to be derived in 'LOW-LIGHT' Running & Walking! This 'SPECIAL EDITION' was Released during MAY of 2013 and is "MADE-In-CHINA". I TESTED the 'LITE-SHOW' at the Westlake Village Golf Course at NIGHT (10:00 p.m.) and found the Promised Overall Reflectivity to be Outstanding! Additionally, the Silicone Gel-Cells are well-placed and rival those in my "GEL-CIRRUS 33's", the ASICS series with the MOST Silicone Gel! At 11.5 ounces, the "GEL-NIMBUS 15's" are 0.4 ounces Heavier than my existing "GEL-NIMBUS 14's", but 0.4 ounces Lighter than either my "CEL-KINSEI 4's" or my "GEL-CIRRUS 33's". The Construction of the 'LITE-SHOW' is Excellent, the Materials used are 'Top-Flight', the Fabrics & Colors are Deep, Rich, Bold & Vibrant! As always, with the Japanese ASICS Brand: "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" !!!

Nimbus is still the Cush!
I am only 13 miles (3 runs) into the new shoes. They are in the rotation with two pairs of Nimbus 14's. I've been a Nimbus runner since Ver. 11. The shoes are just as comfy and soft as ever. If you're looking for a high-mileage shoe that will reduce all the shock of the pavement - this is your shoe. They are true to size and the Lite Show colors really, really work. No way anyone will miss you in these things.
Cons: They may actually be too soft or the sole may be too stiff lacking a bit of responsiveness. This will not be your race day shoe. You can find something lighter and quicker. I've seen complaints about the tongue being too cushy or big. Not so, but the lacing for is off by just a bit. The highest loop seems too far back and the 2nd to last is not enough, but that may be my foot.
Overall: Very Happy Runner

Another Great Design!
I have not had this shoe long enough to test durability, but I have run about 50 miles in them and they are extremely comfortable. I do not have any foot or shin discomfort while running in these shoes and normally run between 3-6 miles at a time. I have high arches with mild pronation. At almost 245 pounds this shoe still provides me with ample support and cushion for road and treadmill running. Much lighter and faster than last year's model.
Highly recommend this shoe.

Lite Show not the same as the regular
I put over 400 miles on my Nimbus 15 non-lite show version and they still feel good. I liked them so much I went ahead and bought the Nimbus 15 Lite-Show on clearance since the 16s are out. The Lite shows are about the same but the toe box feels more snug. Still a good shoe but like the non-lite show better. I would not recommend these if speed and weight are a concern. These shoes are heavy but feel good and best for training. I wear a shoe that weighs less for races.
Running in humidity
Best Shoe ever....for ME
I've had these shoes for about 3 weeks and can say these are, by FAR, the best running shoes i've worn. I've been a Nike guy since I started running 3 years ago, but wanted something with better cushioning. I'm average height and weight, 5'11" and 190, but with a bad back, these have made my miles easy the past three weeks.
Rather pricey, but totally worth the extra $$ in my eyes. (Gift cards help, too) The cushioning in the heal of the shoe is an added benefit.
Feel as good as they look
Great shoes for heavier runner with neutral gate. Started at 250+ lbs and these shoes helped prevent any running related injuries for me. Even dropping weight I will stick with these for training runs of all distances. It is worth the little bit of extra shoe weight for the extra cushioning. With these lite show version, they came exactly as pictured and will keep you visible in low light.
I am a female but I purchased the men's version of this shoe due to the width. Men's version is wider and a better fit for me. I wear a 10 in women's and purchased size 9 men's. it's slightly big but it gives me some extra room in the toe box and I simply love the cushioning in this shoe. I tend to hit my heals pretty heavily when I run and this shoe cushions great!
A Great Shoe for a big guy, high arch
I just finished an 8.5 mile run with plenty of large hills on pavement/sidewalk and feel great. I have been wearing Brooks Adrenaline for years and had severe heel pain and sore knees, for so long I thought it was an old military injury, however after trying these out, so far I am very pleased.
6'2" 220 lbs 5-9 miles 3-5 times per week
Most confortable shoes ever, so far.
Been using them to walk from home to work and back almost every day for the last 3 weeks. Paired them with footbalance insoles (made during a store visit).
Great results so far, feel this set up is actually taking good care of my joints.
Dont have unpleasant comments so far, hope they last; they're not cheap.
Francisco the happy walker :)
No wide fitting!! GRRRR
Why oh why do us poor runners with wide feet never have a choice of colors. Having wide feet, I'm always stuck with the 'vanilla' color options :(
I've tried the Lite Shows on, but alas, they are too narrow.
Come on Asics, let's have some more wide fitting options.
Otherwise, the Nimbus 15 is truly a great shoe, although I have worn through a couple of pairs, each lasting only 3 months.
Jeeves The Butler
I run 2-3 times a week and go to the gym 3-4 times a week and these are great for both. Great support for plyometric workouts and on leg days. More importantly, The comfort and stability for running is unbelievable. They fit perfectly and are my favorite running shoes. Highly recommended.

Gel-Nimbus 15 Lite-Show
I loved the Gel-Nimbus 12 and thought I would try the Gel-Nimbus 15 Lite-Show. It feels to be a half size shorter than sized. Still comfortable though and the major draw back in my opinion is that the laces come loose while running if they're not double tied.

Love these shoes!
I love the shoe, but one of the shoes does squeak a little bit when I walk. It's barely noticeable unless you're in a quiet environment. I wear them to the gym and you can't hear it at all. I'm 250lbs, and I love these shoes. Very comfortable...and really cool looking.
Nimbus 15's are the best!
5th pair. Love these shoes. I'm 6' 220 lbs and training for a marathon. I've post reviews on this model shoe in the past. The only issue I have had is they are worn out in 250 miles if that, but that could be because of my weight.
Great shoe and nice fit
Replaced my Nimbus 14's which I really liked. I went with the 15's and they are even better. Lite Show version is awesome looking. I run on County Roads and they show up really good. Very good shoe.
Not a minimalist shoe but really good!
Big guy at 6'3 235lbs and this is a perfect shoe for road running and treadmill runs. I was not a big fan of ASIC designs but this is a good looking as well as a good performing product.
Very good at work
I'm on my feet 8 hours a day,on a concrete floor... I am 6-3,250 pounds.... These shoes are the best, most comfortable I've found yet!!!!
Love these shoes! Super comfortable, very impact absorbant. Great for longer runs.
Second pair of these shoes. Like the bright colors for early .morning runs.
Fit is good and like the yellow and black. Nice match!
Plan to Buy another pair
Still breaking but comfortable, right now I am 197lbs and enjoy the cushion this shoe provides. Like the bright color, I'm not sure if the color helps my visibility but sure bright at sun up. Plan to wear them for the Marine Corp Marathon.
Only shoes I buy
I run all the time and Asics are the only shoes I buy. I am a big fan of the Gel-Nimbus series they are reliable, durable, comfortable, and last a long time. Best shoes I've worn.
