This is my Fourth (4th) Pair of Running Shoes within the Japanese ASICS TRI-NOOSA series. I Purchased these on February 18th of 2015.
In my Daily Rotation, I now own a (i) NOOSA TRI-7, a (ii) NOOSA TRI-8, another (iii) NOOSA TRI-8, and a (iv) NOOSA TRI-9.
I currently RUN/WALK/HIKE over Twenty-Eight (28) Miles per Week - every week - Year round, Rotating Daily within my ASICS collection.
The Japanese ASICS NOOSA series are Manufactured and Assembled in VIETNAM, having been Designed in AUSTRALIA.
At a Weight per Running Shoe of 09.9 ounces, the NOOSA TRI-9 is Heavier than my NOOSA TRI-8 at 09.7 ounces, but Lighter than my NOOSA TRI-7 at 10.6 ounces.
In general, I find the TRI-NOOSA series to be somewhat NARROW and somewhat SHORT, so I Compensate by Purchasing 1.0 Sizes larger, which is also great for my High Arches.
The first (1st) action I take upon receiving a new Pair is to exchange the ELASTIC LACES for the standard MULTI-COLORED LACES, which can be used very nicely to Enhance and Alter the look of an existing Pair.
After more than One (1) Month- the COLORS are still VIBRANT, the FABRICS and MATERIALS are still PRISTINE, and I note NO WEAR and/or TEAR!
As always, I received numerous POSITIVE COMMENTS regarding these ASICS Running Shoes. WOMEN are drawn to the BOLD COLORS and AGGRESSIVE DESIGNS!

Shoes fit well and are nicely light.

Purchased this shoe with the initial idea of wearing it for Tri events last summer. It was a tad heavier than I like for racing so I continued to use my Asics Gel DS Racer and have used the Noosa 9 for longer training runs and when I would be running partially on trail and or gravel roads. With some added stability the Noosa 9 has proven to be a solid trainer holding up very well through 350+ miles. I will probably retire the shoe around 400 miles. I have utilized the elastic laces for convenience (use them on some of my other shoes as well). I am not your traditionally built runner at 6'2" and 210 lbs so I put a good hurt on lighter shoes, but the Noosa has held up quite well. I have also used the Gel DS Trainer 17, 18 and 19 and find the Noosa to be almost identical in cushioning, support and feel.

First of all this is not a triathlon shoe. Throwing in elastic laces and making the shoe in cool colors does not a tri shoe make. It does not have drainage or sock-free comfort. The tongue is thick and folds in on the edges causing irritation on the top of the foot unless you spend the time to meticulously manipulate it while putting the shoe on which is something you do not want to do in transition. The heel is a bit wide and loose which could cause some serious blisters without socks. It could really use a heel counter which snugs up the fit. It is a decent running shoe though and the colors are cool. Snug up the heel, attach the tongue to the upper, add a seamless upper, some drain holes, and knock about an ounce off, and it would be a decent Tri-shoe for 70.3 and under.

Light, and snug in forefoot. Could use more cushioning, but good support. Great ventilation.

5'8", 163lbs these shoes were great out of the box. I ran a 10k with no break in period and they performed great. They offer the right amount of cushion and support.

Please add glowing effect to the toe. Allow for quarter sizing. Allow brighter colors for the quick laces.
