Cons Best Uses The GT-2000 is an excellent shoe. I am on my 7th pair and will continue to purchase future models. Roadrunner Sports has been great to work with. I order shoes on line and they are at my door step the next day. Incredible company!
Pros Cons Best Uses I got these shoes in the mail today. I ordered the 8.5 4E (because I have bunions). The wide only comes in bright white with a teeny bit of blue. What about all of the beautiful colors made for people with perfect feet? Nope, just the white. Because I needed new shoes and this series usually works for me, I ordered them anyway. When they arrived today, I opened the box and said, out loud, "These are the ugliest shoes in the world." Not only are they mostly bright white, they have white, patent-leather trim. They seem to fit, but I don't know if I can make myself wear these shoes. They're probably headed back to Road Runner. Hey Asics, could you please make at least one nice color for people with wide feet?

Needed a stability shoe that provides support and comfortable ride for 15-20 miles/week. This fit the bill and enjoyed a nice 7 mile out of the box.
Pros Cons Best Uses
I've been running in this Asics product line for years. My last pair was the GT-2000. When it was time to replace them I naturally ordered these. They feel like the same grwat shoes but with a bit more cushioning. I'm very pleased.

For starters, I have run a lot of mileage over the years and I have won three national running titles in three different events. Early in my adult running career, my friend and teammate, the now deceased Dr. George Sheehan, the then medical editor of "Runner's World," sent me to Dr. Richard Schuster, the guru of orthotics. He worked with me for almost two years to find the right orthotic formula that allowed me to run pain free, but I hated to always have to use those heavy, leather orthotics in my running shoes. The first shoe I was able to utilize without orthotics was the NB 850s. I have gone through a lot of NB shoes over the years, but these had enough motion control to allow me to run orthotic free. They were a bit stiff and clunky, but they fit great and they freed me from the burden of orthotics. Attracted by the color of these beauties (I purchased the yellow/silver/green model), I decided to try the ASICS GT 2000 3. In a sentence, they are simply the best running shoes I have ever worn, and I strapped on my first pair of running shoes in the 1950s as a track competitor. They are comfortable and give me the best ride I have ever experienced with a running shoe. Also, as with the NB 850, these shoes obviate the need for orthotics Most importantly, I've discovered that I can get away utilizing a "support category" shoe rather than the more "clunky" ride of a motion control model. They fit perfectly and for me the size that I wear is my exact street shoe size which happens to be 10.5. Definitely give these babies a try!
Pros Cons Best Uses If you liked the 3030 and saw it go away too soon: this is your shoe. It is comfortable, stable, runs well. 5'11", 175lb. I expect to see 300-400 miles from these easily. I just bought another pair after putting 2-3 weeks of 3-5 mile runs on them. I may buy more...
Just took these on their first run last night. Felt pretty good overall. Cushioning was better than the original GT 2000, but not as good as the Kayano. Could feel a little bunching at times in the logo on the side, but nothing causing discomfort. Seems like another good pair of Asics. Will need to put some more miles on to get a better opinion.
