    I've been running the last few years mostly on minimalist shoes. I felt like I needed a bit of a change so I started running with these. This will be my third pair of these trainers I'm buying. I LOVE them. Injury free. Perfect fit, great cushion, and they work well with my custom insoles. Since there is a bit more stability in the ankle, I can also wear these offroad without having to switch to trail shoes. I couldn't recommend them more.

    Departure from what you expect with DS

    These shoes are a departure from every Asics shoe I have ever had, tiger paw, speed star, Ohana racer, noosa Tri, piranha, ds trainer, ds racier, to name a few. I am a forefoot runner who runs 50 miles/week @ ~6:30 mile pace, I'm 6'7", 185 lbs. These shoes are much tighter than the previous DS Trainers. The rigid heel has given me my first runnin blister in years, and the toe box restricts my toe movement. The forefoot cushioning is nice.

      I mainly run in the Kayano 21's but wanted to try something with a little less cushioning and bulk to gain some speed. These are great. Have a few 3-4 mile runs in them and a great mix of stability and "snappy" cushioning. Will continue to alternate with the Kayano's on speed days. Highly recommend!

      Right out of the box i liked how they felt and how light they were, took them on a couple short 6 mile runs and i must say inwas impressed. Except for the fact that the Asics sign started coming off the shoe, on both shoes. Looks like its not glued properly. Hopefully this dosent happen to my replacement pair
