This is by far the most heavy duty running shoe I've ever owned. It's stiff and heavy, and not a good choice unless you're big enough to derive the benefits from it. I don't race in the MC Plus as it's way too much shoe for a speedy race. I use it for banging out the slow training miles.

I'm 60 year old large built runner (I was doomed by my genetics). I have running the ASIC MC's for years and have going thru many par. This is a great running shoe for the money and I will only run in this model until they stop making them. I order these by at least three par at a time. I have run close to 40 marathons.

I run/jog in this shoe. I am a heavier runner/jogger although I have lost some weight. I wanted a shoe that is durable for a runner of 200+ pounds and this shoe delivers. I have stuck with the shoe at my lighter weight. It gives me a lot of stability at 220 and at 185. I highly recommend this shoe for someone that wants stability, will pound it regularly and demands a product that will last. I must add that I am a "pro-Asics" guy and have used their shoes for 25+ years.

I've been buying these shoes for 15 years. And the day they stop selling them is the day I stop working out and running. I am 250 lbs mostly muscle and flat footed. I use arch supports in these shoes and they are still the best feeling and performance shoes I could ask for. Perfect fit, great stability, and the look is always in style.

I ordered them a half size up, but they were still too tight. These are well made, and very comfortable, but Asics just needs to come up with a size standard and stick to it. I've bought Asics for 20 years now, and they have no excuse for sizing problems. They're too good to play games.

If only these would last longer... I love these and have had at least 30 or 40 pairs. I am 6'0" tall and around 210#+. I get only about 80 -100 running miles out of a pair (I buy two pairs at a time and alternate them) then use them for walking. Absolutely no break-in required and they fit orthotics well. Needs upgraded insole for cushioning. Anyone know about how long Brooks Beasts last? Only negative is that I start to pound after about 90 miles, or so, of running on asphalt pavement; when they go, they go fast! All in all, though, an excellent shoe.

I ended up returning this pair of shoes and exchanged them for the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10s. I am a larger person (250lbs) and expected to need the motion control. After about 3 runs I decided the shoe was just too stiff for me and it was forcing too hard of an impact with the ground. The shoe seemed to be very solid and durable, unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. [...]

I can't say enough good things about these shoes. My husband has been wearing these shoes for probably the last 5+ years. He wears no other athletic shoe as these provide everything he needs in a shoe. The most important aspect for him is the ability to put his personally made orthodics in them. He would prefer wearing these shoes than going barefoot, they make his feet feel that good!

This has been my exclusive shoe for about 20 of my 34 years of running. The straight shape and durability of this shoe makes it perfect for a heavy, pronating runner. You do need to size up as recommended in the product description.

After seeing some of the reviews, I had to write one. I have owned 5 pairs of these and I find them to be excellent. I also have a low arch and no other shoe that I have tried has the support that this shoe provides. Yes, the heel cup could be better. But the other atributes of the shoe outweigh this minor problem. As said before in other reviews, please keep these shoes as a stock item.

I bought these shoes because I have a low arch and weigh 195 pounds. I ran in these shoes twice and they felt like bricks tied to my feet. My calves were aching within the first half mile. They feel extremely stiff and awkward. I weighed these shoes with a similar pair of Brooks and found them to be four ounces heavier per shoe. Significant difference if you are doing anything over a few miles per week.

The only shoe I will buy until they stop making it. Great shoe for fat guys that like to run 15+ miles a week. Every shoe has its issues, but this one keeps me from getting posterior shin splints, stress fractures of the tibia, and knee pain. The shoe carries my 210 pounds with ease. 4 ounces heavier per shoe compared to Brooks?

Please don't stop making these shoes. I haven't had problems other mention. I've been wearing these shoes for 10-15 years. They're the reason I was able to get back into jogging. Everything else I try, even ones that say they're motion control, whether Asics or other brands, don't work. I'm guessing it's not only the support in the shoe but also the straight last, which seems to have gone out of fashion. Of course I wish this shoe was lighter, but when I tried the Foundation, looking for a lighter shoe, my knees started hurting. As I said at the start, please continue making this shoe. Now if we could only get Asics to make a walking shoe with the support of the MC Plus.

These ran great out of the box, but i too have worn through the heel cups, which results in a wicked pinching blister. Granted, i've gone off-road a couple times, but at 160lbs, this shouldn't have happened to an MC+ shoe with <300mi. on it.

I also have been wearing these shoes for several years and they are the only shoes I wear. Many half marathons and no injuries. Make sure you change every 300 miles.
Keep making these really good performing shoes.

This is a great, great shoe for those suffering from foot pain. I tried running in this shoe and it felt like two bricks on my feet. I almost returned them;[...]but then I wore them to work and the shoes felt great! That was 2 years ago. Since then I've bought 3 more pairs. Just last month I bought another pair for safe keeping[...]So for walking and doing errands I highly recommend this shoe. For me its not a good running shoe, but I bet there are others out there who run in these without a problem. And honestly I've run a tiny bit in these shoes and they aren't bad. I highly recommend this pair of sneakers!
