Sat, January 12,2008:
I have been running for over 40 years and have tried many shoes.
The 2080 is the best. The combination last with the fiber board in the rearfoot enhances the support and stability of this model. ASICS replaced the fiber board with EVA in the updated models of the GT 2000 series. This change may ha...

I've used 3 pairs of these and they were great. I have thinner relatively flat feet, 175 lbs 20-30 miles per week and the fit is great. Only problem is that I typically only get 250-300 miles out of them before my shins start bothering. Can't beat the price.

Great marathon training shoe. Logged 800miles in them and they held up well until the end. It really is the kayano minus all the bells and whistles, but still a great shoe!

This is by one of the best shoe that I have worn. My other shoes are New Balance 2001, Nike Air Pegasus 2006, Mizuno Wave Creation 6 and Asics Kayano 9. Best of the best!

I'm 6'2" 215 and run about 25 miles per week, and by far, these are the best shoes ever. I've tried Nike Free, Nike Shox, Saucony, New Balance, and more. You just can't beat the 2080. You can literally wear them in any situation and they are the most comfortable.

I love these shoes. I switch between the Asics 2080's, Reebok Premiere Road Lite, and Brooks Adreanaline GTS. The 2080's are my favorite. 5'5 150 lbs. 15 to 20 miles a week.

I agree with the last rating. The 2100 series, which is supposed to be the new and improved version of these, are not nearly as comfortable. I will continue to buy these as long as roadrunner carries them. They seem to be the last ones.

I have tried the GT-2090 and GT-2100. I found that the GT-2080 are the most comfortable shoes the Asics make. I highly recommend these shoes to anyone.
