Better then the more expensive Asics ultimate jacket one as you can open those vents up!

Not warm enough for the winters in the North East. Wish it had an external wind flap to cover the zipper. A hood would be nice too. The neck is too open; it lets too much heat out. To get at chest pocket you have to open main zipper; would be nice if it was externally acessable. I have an older Asics jacket - different style that they don't make anymore. It is much warmer; has a hood, external wind flap.

Just bought this jacket for a 5 Mile Thanksgiving Day Turkey trot. It was 38 degrees and pouring rain. I was toasty and very dry, I did not expect this jacket to hold up to a torrential rain, but it did with flying colors.
The jackets fit is tapered and very comfortable. I looked at other jackets that were twice the price and couldn't find any reason to spend the extra cash.
The styling of the jacket is very clean and could definitely be worn when not running. The white upside down V and the piping on the sleeve are reflective. I wouldn't rely on it if you do a lot of running on dark roads, especially if you buy the black version.
There are great side vents that allow the jacket to open all the way up to cool off. A definite must with a waterproof windproof jacket. Asics cleverly incorporated tons of storage pouches within and having double ended zippers totally allows for easy access.
There is an interior chest pocket that would hold an I Pod comforatbly and dry.
