Great hat for running outside!

I use this hat while running outside in high heat, between 80-90 F. It works great! The hat doesn't use a velcro strap to adjust, but a small bungee cord, which I love. I have another running cap that uses a velcro strap, and I just don't like it as much. The neck cape velcros to the edges and there are two snaps at the front to keep it on.

I wet the cap before going out so that it provides air conditioning for my head while reflecting the sunlight. The neck cape also easily absorbs water and while it's evaporating, it feels wonderful. In the other review, there IS a large opening in the back where the bungee cord can be used to adjust the fit, but I use it to pull through my ponytail, so it works for me! Otherwise, I have my hair in a tight bun and the cape goes right over it.

The only drawback is that this hat is definitely not stylish. But I've gotten to the point where I don't care about looking cute while I'm running! I just want a good run while keeping the sun off my head and neck, and this hat works a lot better than the other basic caps that I own. All in all, I highly recommend.

      I am bald and sun sensitive. This hat has a large hole in the back to allow for size adjusting. A similar hat from a competitor covers the hole with a flap from the neck drape, velcroed above the size adjusting fabric cut out. This has is okay if you have a thick head of hair, but not if you are bald like me.
