      After starting running I was having trouble with shin splints and sore muscles. I was unable to run at great distance because of pain and my legs felt simply too heavy to run. I discovered that I supinate and after searching I found these. When I first put them on they felt odd and my first run with them my knees hurt, which they never had before. My shins didn't hurt however and I was able to go a longer distance than before. When I wore them again I ran like nobodies business and I can't be more pleased. The only negative is that there was a stain on the tounge, other than that...perfection. I believe the knee pain came from the altered gait these provide.

      If you have low arches and pronate...these are wonderful!

      I have bought this shoe 4 years straight and will never go back to a conventional trail running shoe. Beware: the only problem we have with this shoe is the soles start peeling off after just a short time of wear. ASICS needs to greatly improve on ruggedness!

      I am an avid runner, running about 15-25 miles a week. I am about 5'8 at about 150lbs, with a high arch and I overpronate. I have had these shoes for about a month now and love them. Felt a little tight in the toe box, and took a few runs to break them in, but they are turnning into a great shoe. Although they are 10.9oz, they feel very light weight. For a trail shoe they have low ankle support, but fit very well.
      I run on all terrains: snow, road, and grass/dirt. These shoes have good traction and grip on the ice surprisingly well. Overall: a great shoe with more potential. Buy 'em, try 'em and you will love them.
      Oh and love the lace protection, never have to worry about the laces comming untied, dont know why more shoes dont ave this feature!
