        I have run in Asics for at least 10 years and 30 marathons. This shoe is as good as all the other Asics I have used and loved but what have they done so that the laces are so short I struggle to double knot them? I called Road Runner and they were not helpful. Asics did agree to send me new, longer laces.

        Comments about Mens ASICS Gel-Exalt 2 Running Shoe:

        I've owned these shoes for about six weeks and could not be happier. I had been running exclusively with On Running Cloud shoes (minimalist, low profile design), and wanted something that had a bit more cushion and durability for my longer runs. I was immediately impressed with the Exalt 2!

        The mesh design breaths really well, and you can definitely feel the air coming through when you're running, keeping your feet nice and cool. The shoes is not too bulky, which I've found many Asics are, meaning there isn't a lot of "extra shoe" that doesn't need to be there. These shoes also have the best laces I've ever used. They don't twist and turn like most laces, and they retain their integrity and tensile strength rather than stretch out. The weight is surprisingly light. I purchased the royal blue variant, and they go well with casual clothes and jeans.

        I plan on buying several extra pairs for when this first pair gives out.
