    I'm a believer in this vest, first one I've ever purchased and the first test was a marathon a few days ago. The start of the race was in the low 30's with wind gusts up to 40 mph (sustain at about 19 mph), factor in wind chill and the temp was below freezing at the start. I worn a short sleeve tech shirt underneath and pull up sleeves on my arms and my core was warm and felt no wind (arms and legs was a different story). Point is this vest does an excellent job blocking out the wind, can't comment on the water resistance aspect. The only con I noticed was during training runs (40's and low 50's) I noticed a slight moisture buildup inside on the upper shoulder area, other than that this vest rocks. Plenty of pocket space to carry things as well. 5'8", 152 and purchased the small and it fits great!

          Perfect for the cool and misty weather we so often get in the NW. I often want a little protection from wind and rain when I run. However, most jackets that offer rain protection are warmer than I like - even if they have good vents. A vest is cooler when fully zipped and much cooler if you open the front a little. After a few weeks of wet weather running I can say that this one is as close to fully waterproof as I care to get - yet it still breathes well.
          This is my favorite running gear purchase in many years!
