I bought these to replace a pair by another manufacturer as my daily walking around shoe. I never owned Brooks before, and I bought them based entirely on other reviews and the reputation they have earned. I can state without reservation that I am glad I purchased these shoes.

The shoes feel broken in from the first minute you wear them. They are extremely comfortable when sitting, standing, and walking. I was not sure how I would feel about vecro straps replacing shoelaces, but the changeover was easy, and I can see the benefits of velcro in terms of comfort (not sure about longevity yet, as the shoes are less than one week old).

There are no bumps or rough edges inside the shoe to detract from the comfort. The shoes naturally roll from heel to toe when walking and are comfortable even when standing for long periods of time.

Based on the reviews I bought 1/2 size up from the sizing chart, and the fit is great.

Overall, these are great shoes so far. I hope to have many months or years of wear from them.

my dad had a stroke many years ago which forced him to convert from running to walking. I have gotten him NB as well as these shoes and he loves these. He says they have great support/control as well as cushioning/arch support. He uses them primarily for walking/gym but states they are better than shoes he has tried prior to these.

Bought a pair of Addiction walkers after buying a pair of Brooks Addiction running shoes a few months ago, and have been at least equally as happy with fit and comfort of walkers. Definitely recommended -- good shoe for the money. Durability of walkers remains to be seen, but runners have held up well.

I was looking for a pair of lightweight, comfortable shoes to wear for morning walks with my Black Lab named Jake. I'd been buying less expensive shoes for years but they needed constant replacing, so decided to spend a little more in hopes of getting something that would last longer. I like slip-on shoes, so one reason I chose this shoe was the hook/loop closing. These shoes turned out to be exactly what I need - high quality and comfortable. I expect them to last a long time!
