Comments about Mens Brooks Summon Running Shoe:

5'7, 155 lbs, run 40 + miles a week. I Went to these shoes after Brooks screwed up the Defyance. This is a true neutral shoe. Good cushioning, excellent flexibility and heel to toe transition. My longest run on these so far was 15 miles. After about 10 miles I miss the extra stability that the original Defyance had. Negatives with this shoe: 1)Sizing is odd. Usually a brooks 8 fits just right, this shoe fits like an 8.5, which makes a slight difference in my stride. 2)the the shoe lace loops will rip off as i tightened the shoe strings. I had to drill holes in the place of the loops to tie the shoe properly. Overall a good true neutral shoe.

Comments about Mens Brooks Summon Running Shoe:

Great shoes so far. They're neutral, with a good heal-toe transition and very good cushioning and comfort, using the mojo midsole at a cheap price. If you need extra support forget these, but if you want a basic cushioned shoe without gimmicks and wasted foot-chaffing overlays, these are great. Good tread too, so they are decent on the trails if you aren't used to 15 oz trail "running" shoes. And they can handle uptempo work. I have about 100 miles on them so far with no problems, and I'm fairly picky. We'll see how they break down, but barring anything extraordinary I will buy another pair for sure.
