        I didn't think that socks really made a difference. After using Balega's for running I am noticing a difference. I have more awareness about my shoes since my feet don't tend to slide around in the shoe anymore. Balega's are similar to wrapping your feet, in a sense I have more spring to my step. I have yet to wash them after several uses and fear that they may not be the same after going throught the wash. They do not obtain an odor since my feet can actually breath in them.

          If these replace Balega "Runner" socks, they have changed the design. They now have a thicker material for toebox, then thinner material under the arch of foot, then thicker material under heel. The change line between material thickness's creates "ridges" under your foot, which creates hot spots that lead to blisters. I never had hot spots with Balega "Runner" socks...over years. I got a hot spot while running the 1st 1/2 marathon run in the new "Enduro 2" socks.

            I do power walking, and totally hate seams in socks that I can feel. These socks have very smooth toe seams and fit snug through arch, giving no slipping. Would recommend!
