Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: If you have trouble with forefoot numbness in long runs, this one should reduce your discomfort with the generous room in the forefoot, similar in fit to the adrenaline series.

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: I ran my first marathon in these shoes and they were awesome

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: I'm a master's marathoner who used to only wear the Brooks Glycerins for training/race day. I decided I needed a lighter race day shoe and looked to stay in the Brooks line. The Launch really fit the bill.

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: I'm now on my 7th pair of the Brooks Launch. I started out using them for long runs and tempo workouts but now use them primarily for easy runs (they work well for this purpose unless you are used to lighter weight shoes, e.g. Green Silence, LunaRacer, Adios, etc.). I'm 5 ft 8 inches tall and weigh about 168 lbs. I usually get between 350 and 400 miles on a pair of these shoes. The tread holds up pretty well but I can start to feel it in my legs around this amount of miles. The reason that I keep coming back to this shoe is that it provides a minimal but necessary amount of cushion for recovery runs in a lightweight package. I've recommended this shoe to multiple friends and family members and have received nothing but positive feedback.

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: I bought these shoes because I am transitioning from a heel striker to a forefoot striker. I am 6'4'' 240 lbs so I am trying to reduce the shock on my knees. I have been running for 2 years and I have completed 4 halfs. These shoes were rated high for minimalist shoes. I have to say that there is a big difference in running forefoot in a traditional shoe and a minimalist shoe. So my first run with these shoes was 6 miles, and I couldn't be happier. They are light yet they are very comfortable on landing. I have only put about 25 miles on them so far, but I rate them as my best running shoes.

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: Needed a light weight trainer. Picked these up two days before a half marathon. Did the unthinkable and ran a race for the first outing. Worked like a charm. Set a PR at 1:38. Love this shoe.

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: The Brooks Launch is versatile enough to use at a variety of race distances or even upbeat or tempo training. If you liked the Burn, the Launch will be a more than adequate replacement. Two color choices make it versatile for different style choices. It looks fast and performs even better. I'm an older runner and it meets my minimalist requirements for a trainer/racer.

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: I love these shoes. Used to love the Brooks Defyance I, then did some time in mizunos...then I found these. I'm 5'8", 160, neutral, med. arch, somewhat wide forefoot, and these fit great. They're light, streamlined, fit great, and look great too. I switched out the laces to black and every time I look down I'm convinced I'm ninja-fast. First time in 5 years of running I've loved a shoe so much I'm slowly building a stockpile for the inevitable, dreaded, "model update." I can't recommend these highly enough.

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: I am 5'11" / 165#, neutral gait, midfoot striker and so far (1 month) this shoe is the best for my running style that I've ever had. My previous shoe was a Saucony ProGrid Ride, which I really enjoyed also. It's likely that I would have just bought the new Saucony ProGrid Ride 2 or 3, but both those models have turned into pontoon boats... i.e. way too much cushioning! These Brooks Launch are a nice sporty "ride" b/c they are lightweight, have just the right amount of cushion, and don't have too much bulk in the heel. I should say that I have a somewhat narrow heel and moderate to deeper instep and moderate to somewhat wide midfoot / forefoot and they fit like a glove. Nice amount of room in the toe box, but certainly not too much for my tastes. I run mostly road and a little bit of trail, usually around 5K. I also run sprint intervals in these shoes on the track as well as the stadium stairs. Brooks, please continue to make this shoe UNADULTERATED. Cheers!!

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: I'm actually a chick that usually runs in men's shoes due to increase width. I have the yellow/orange shoes and LOVE them. Right out The box very comfy. Was runnin in Nike dual fusion but as my miles increased I had more knee pain. When I first ran in these my feet were a little sore (i believe they are considered a more minimum shoe so I think my foot muscles were just adjusting). I love them...I do every run in them...training for 1/2 marathon...usually run 18-22 miles a week. Already bought a second pair when rr had its extra VIP sale! Love this site!

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: I've run in everything from the Nike Vomero/Pegasus, Asics Nimbus, Mizuno Prophecy/Creation/Wave Rider, New Balance 890, and Adidas Ride. These are the best shoes I've ever run in, period. They're light, they provide a ton of cushion, and they're very forgiving. They just get out of your way, and let you do your thing. Fantastic.

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: My first outside run with these and they felt better than expected. Used them a few times on the treadmill was didn't think they were going to have enough cushion for outside but I was wrong. Soft enough and lighter than you would think. They are a keeper! I have the Orange and Yellow which are perfect for my Spring and Summer Runs!

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: Love these shoes. I am 165 lbs at 5'9" male and usually run in a super heavy neutral cushion shoe like Vomero or Nimbus. Wanted a light weight version and bought these in November 2011. I have now run 4 marathons in them since November and they are holding up excellently. They are soft and light. Also they are 2/3 the price of my typical trainer. I doubt I will ever go back to a heavier shoe.

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: On my third pair of launch and LOVE THEM! I bought a new pair right before my recent fitness test, and pulled off a new personal best for 1.5 miles run (beat last year's time by 10 seconds, just tickling the sub-8-minute mark as a 38 year old.) These shoes used to be reserved for just "fast day" workouts, but now are used for daily training and races. They seem barely heavier than my racing flats, but feel more secure to me and offer just a bit more cush. Quick, responsive, and light. I usually get around 300 miles on a set before I buy new. Other shoes give 400 miles or so, but for the purpose I wouldn't add or change a thing on these shoes.

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: As a mid to fore foot striking runner that averages 30 to 50 miles a week, this is a great training shoe - flexible and surprisingly very well cushioned, given its light 9 oz. Great for longer tempo runs and long runs (I use the Green Silence for races and faster, shorter training efforts). After a dedicated Wave Rider until the 14, I have now switched over. Similar to the original Brooks Ghost, cushioned but not overbuilt.

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: I ordered the Brookes Launch a half size up as prescribed by the website and that was a good choice. The sole felt very cushiony and had little drop which helps with midfoot running. All appearances and feel were excellent beside the toe box being a little narrow for my foot. I generally wear regular width shoes so I didn't want to trade them in for a wider size only to find they would then be too wide in other areas.I ran 5.5 the day I got them and they rubbed a blister on the outside of my pinky toe I could feel after about 2 miles. I know a lot of people swear by Brookes, and they do seem to be great shoes...just don't fit my type of foot.

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: I purchased the Launch seeking a lightweight but durable shoe that I could use for moderate distance training (average 5 mile runs 4 times a week). I have been very happy with the way the Launch has met my requirements. I now have a second pair, which I purchased in prep for a half-marathon - at which the shoe remained well-cushioned but with a "fast feel." The first pair, which has around 200 miles, still feel great, although I now use them just for walking and the gym. The newer pair continues to perform well with approximately 200 miles on them. I am likely to purchase another pair, although I am considering trying to transition to something more minimal, but the Launch is a good middle-level shoe regardless.

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: Can't believe I waited so long to make the switch to a lighter shoe, no more heavy trainers for me. I put 70 miles on them in the 1st month, with a long of 18.5 & a 1/2 marathon race. Good cushioning & you really feel lighter on your feet in those longer miles.

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: These shoes are great. I was woried they would not have enough cushioning, but I really have not had a problem with them. I've ran 20 miles in these shoe in the past week and a half. I wanted to work them into my training program slowly to prevent soreness, but I have yet to feel any discomfort, even after a 10 mile run.

Comments about Mens Brooks Launch Running Shoe: This shoe fits my foot type great. I like the weight and flexibility. So far I've put 100 miles on them with my longest run in them being 18 miles. I was worried they might not have enough cushion but am finding I like them much better than the Nike Pegasus I've been alternating them with. Lighter, not as clunky and my feet are no worse for the wear after a long run.
