Comments about Mens Brooks Defyance 4 Running Shoe: This is a great shoe that is comfortable and molds to your foot. This is my 3 pair in this model and highly recommend it if you like a fast and neutral shoe.

Comments about Mens Brooks Defyance 4 Running Shoe: First the ride of the Def 4 is good. Very close to the Ghost 3 but I do not like the "Element" upper. It is very flexable and lets my foot move around too much. It does not breath and here in the south that is very important. The worst part of the Element upper though is the outer side of the shoe. If you notice it has stitching there. That stitching is rough and due to the flexability of the upper it started rubbing a blister on the side of my foot within 4 miles. So the bottom line is the ride is good but the upper is a total deal breaker for me. If I ran in colder climates where I could wear thicker socks and didn't need the breathability it might be ok but I will be returning this shoe for another pair of ghost 3s.

Comments about Mens Brooks Defyance 4 Running Shoe: I really like the Defyance shoes. My last sneakers were defyance 2s, now I have the defyance 4s. I can run long distances (for me, like 10 miles) and my legs feel ok. I have had a history of leg issues from running (torn meniscus, calf pain, shins) but almost none with these shoes (unless I am ramping up the miles too quickly).

Comments about Mens Brooks Defyance 4 Running Shoe: 6'1"/165 - Training for marathon, 35-40 mpw. I'm a firm believer in Brooks gear/shoes and alternate from my go to (Ghost 3) and a racer (Launch). Tried this shoe out while waiting on Ghost 4s in June - solid, solid shoe. True to Brooks form, a great trainer that is modestly light weight, with great arch support, awesome cushion, and with this shoe an even more snug heel lock. Overall great ride just out of the box. Neutral Brooks runners will score another hit with the Defy 4.

Comments about Mens Brooks Defyance 4 Running Shoe: Tried a lot of shoes at the store, and this was the neutral shoe with the best snug fit in the arch. Not too much support, just a good neutral shoe. I like it better than my former Saucony Ride 1 and 2. Run typically 20 miles/wk at 7½ minute/mile.

Comments about Mens Brooks Defyance 4 Running Shoe: I like the 3's much better for the fit and feel. The laces rub the top of my foot wrong.
