Men's BROOKS® RAVENNA 2 :: Hey there all you mild overpronators, welcome to your sweet spot. The men's Brooks® Ravenna 2 is perfectly tuned into your needs with a new and improved crashpad, as well as increased flexibility. But best of all is the addition of Brooks DNA, a revolutionary cushioning system that adapts to your foot and changing speeds with each step you take. The next level of running is finally here! 10.8 ounces
I'm a recreational runner with high arches and slight over pronation. I run 25-35 miles per week. I have bounced around between cushioned and stability shoes, but never found the right shoe - until now. The Ravenna 2 is awesome - fast feeling with just the right amounts of stability and cushioning. I've had these about 3 weeks now, including a half marathon, and my feet and legs feel great.
I started running in March 2008. I have been through 7 pair of shoes since then. Until this shoe, Asics Gel Kayano 17's were the best pair of shoes I have run in. I average 170 miles a month and this shoe kicks butt! It's a fast, durable, and extremely comfortable shoe. It's lighter than the Kayanos by almost 2 ounces but offers better cushioning. It's roomy enough for orthodics, yet literally fits like a glove. Finally, I am completely injury free! I'm a first time Brooks buyer but have now found the right shoe for me. I'm 6 foot 2 inches, 190 pounds, and slightly over pronate.
Great Transition Shoe
I run about 50 miles a week. I slightly overpronate on 1 foot so it is hard to find a shoe that will work. I loved the Brooks Adrenaline 10's and 11's so I decided to use a transition shoe before I hit performance stability. I ordered the Ravenna for that purpose. I hated them at first. Thought they were making my feet turn different. I was on the verge of sending them back and I decided to try them on a long run. Needless to say, I fell in love with them. They felt like pillows on my feet. I recommend these to everyone. I found my stability shoe!

Cushioning and Responsiveness
I'd been looking for several months for a quality, mostly pavement running shoe. I think I found my match with the Brooks Ravenna II. It's got just the right amount of cushioning, without being bulky, and responsiveness, without being minimalist or stiff.
The universal platform insole really conforms to your foot, and they just feel comfortable the minute you slip them on. I've got relatively wide feet with a low arch, and these shoes give me the support and width I need, both in the toebox and midfoot areas. I haven't experienced any heel slippage either.
I've only run in them for about three weeks, at about 15-20 miles per week, so I haven't really broken them in yet. But, from what I've experienced so far, they're a quality shoe with a nice comfortable platform.
I'm 5'8" and 173 lbs., and I use these shoes almost exclusively on pavement and a treadmill.
This is really a good looking shoe
I had a chance to wear this shoes during XiaMen Marathon race, I like the feeling of the shoes and shoes are really comfortable.
I found my shoe
I think I found my shoe! It maybe to early to write a review since I just started running in these shoes this week but what a difference they are making. I was having bad shin splints and left foot pain with my last pair of shoes. Since I started running in the Ravenna 2's my shin splints and foot pain has subsided. They are very comfortable and fast, I have cut my per mile time by almost 2 minutes. I am 5'7", 160 pounds and run 8 to 15 miles a week. For my running style and my feet, these fit like a glove.
EXCELLENT shoes, Worth every penny
These shoes are flat out awesome. Take RoadRunner's advice and order a half size up from what you normally wear. I have never had Brooks before and I am sold 100%. Lightweight, great in every way. I have a slightly narrow foot and over-pronate a little and these have been great. I ran in some Mizuno's and like them, but they don't hold a candle to these shoes. I had shin splints after getting into running again, took a few weeks off and started back again, this time with the Ravenna 2. No leg or knee pain at all. I'll be ordering another pair soon.
I have very flat feet, use orthotics, and became 'addicted' to the Brooks Addictions. After having a gate analysis, it showed I could move to less motion control. I moved to the Adrenaline, then to the Ravenna. the first time I ran on the Ravenna, I felt like I had rockets on my feet. I now have 400 miles on my first pair with no concerns.
Great for first running shoes
These shoes are my first running shoes. The associate at the local store really win a new customer by recommending these shoes to me.
I just started running and run in a high school track near home.
These shoes almost feel like gloves to my feet.
Made the mistake of moving from the Infiniti to the Ghost and ended up with Achilles tendonitis 3/4 of the way through my marathon training program. Discovered that the Ravenna is the Infiniti replacement, bought a pair, and was running pain free in 2 weeks. Was not only able to finish the marathon but bested last year's time by 5 minutes!
I finally found my dream shoe! All I needed was little hint of stability without added ounces.Have about 400 miles on these and appear to be holding up very well.Im a huge Brooks fan and look foward to the Ravenna 3's.
Just got a pair around 4 weeks ago. Got over 100 miles on them and a couple of half marathons. It is the pair for me. After running on Saucony and other Brooks shoes, I found my match.
A touch of stability
Very similar to the Ghost 3, with a touch of stability. If you're a mild pronator and don't need a full stability shoe, consider this.
