Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: I went to a RoadRunner store and did the Shoe Dog thing. I'm a Brooks lover and had been wearing a Stability shoe which I thought was fine until I ran in this pair. I was deciding between the Ghost and the Glycerin and I went for these because the cushion on impact was just so awesome. I'm glad I did. I have been running in them for less than a week but so far so good.

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: I had 3 pairs of the Glycerin 8 and really liked them. The Glycerin 9 is better! I just received my first pair yesterday and they're cushier, not taking away from the support I love from the Glycerin. The shoe is really pink, not red and is cute! I just ordered my second pair so I can rotate them and get the longest life from them.

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: These are my first Brooks and I've only worn them once, but I think I'm in love!

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: I am a Brooks convert! I used to wear Nike Vomeros and the cushioning was great, but I would break them down too quickly. Especially under the ball of the foot where I tend to get pain if the shoes aren't cushy enough. These are lasting much longer than the Nikes and are just as comfy-- maybe even better for my feet since I didn't even have to add an extra cushion to the ball of the foot. I have gotten some compliments on the shoes looks as well-- I have the black ones. I love that there is a dark option. I run in a park and on dirt roads as well as the road and I don't like when the only options are white/light and then they look dingy right away.

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: I am in love with these shoes. I run about 20 miles a week and they are great. I usually am an Asics fan but wanted to switch it up. The only thing is I usually get regular width shoes and I had to get a wide in these because they seemed a little tight. Now I'm totally satisfied with them!

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: Like a previous reviewer, I went to a Road Runner store and did the Shoe Dog thing. Before I bought these shoes I ran in Asics (which were fitted at a different running store). I thought they were fine but I had some knee pain every once in a while. However, with these Brooks, the knee pain is gone! I ran a half marathon in them and aside from being sore the next day, I really had no knee pain or blisters on my feet. I kind of love these shoes. I did get the special inserts though. I am wondering if I would have also loved another pair of shoes with the inserts. Either way, I have converted to Brooks for the time being. I don't especially love the style. I tried on the Asics Nimbus as well and preferred that style but for a running shoe, I thought comfort and fit are more important. As for sizing, I normally wear a 6.5 and purchased a 7.5 in these.

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: I needed a miracle shoe: one that would work for interval runs, walking, cross-training, and standing on an industrial floor for eight hours a day. Don't laugh. This shoe does it. They have more padding on the ball of my foot than I've used before, which is fine because I tend to keep my center of gravity a little to the front when I stand. They've got a nice stable fit, but not so firm that it prevents comfortable back-and-forth cross-training movement. So far I've not had the slightest twinge of pain in my knees (fingers crossed). Oh, and did I mention they're REALLY pretty? Worth every penny.

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: I asked the folks at the running store if there was a shoe that was good for running, walking, cross-training (a lot of back-and-forth jumps, etc.) and standing on a concrete floor for 8 hours a day. I thought they'd laugh at me. Instead, they gave me this shoe. It's got more cushioning in the ball of the foot than I'm used to, but my center of gravity is a tad forward anyway. So far these have worked for EVERYTHING, and I've had no knee pain at all from short runs. Saving up for a new pair in six months; I'm pretty sure I'll wear these out by then. Oh, and in case it matters to you, these are REALLY pretty. (I have the black and blue ones.)

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: The Glycerin 8 felt better than the Glycerine 9. Still a great shoe with lots of room in the toe box and a narrow heel. I especially like how lightweight they are. Very good cushioning. My orthotics fit in them too. I love these shoes!

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: These are cushy with a generous toe-box. I have a forefoot/nerve pain issue and its dissapearing quickly after being in these shoes just a few hours.

Best Uses Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: I have been wearing Glycerin models the past several years and have been very happy with their performance and cushioning. My biggest complaint is that Brooks has very inconsistent sizing. I have worn everything from an 8 to 9 in this line and am frustrated that I cannot simply re-order the same size I have been wearing when I need a new shoe. It seems each time I try that, I have to go go up or down a half size. I do not have this issue with other brands of shoes. The 8.5 I bought in February were perfect and just reordered and they are too small! Frustrating for a busy person.

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: I was not too sure about what to expect since I ordered online and had never worn this shoe before. When I opened the box, I loved the look (I bought the red and white ones). I put the shoes on and I loved the fit (I bought the same size which I have worn in Nike and Asics shoes - 9.5). Then I went out for a run and got the feeling that I never wanted to take these shoes off. I am going to order another pair because these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have a narrow, high arch foot with a narrow heel and wider forefoot. This is the perfect shoe for me! The price was right too!

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: I purchased the black and blue shoes, visually they are awesome! The toe box is wider than the Asics Nimbus, so that is something to get accustomed to but on a long run it is a blessing. Historically, I am an injury free runner but I am returning these shoes because they immeidatley caused pain in my left Achilles and shin. Overall, I think they are a great shoe, just not for me.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: Bought these in size 9 ( I wear 8 1/2 ) - shoes are great except toe box is very wide for a medium width.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: Love the Glycerin 8. Amazing shoe and very comfortable. With the Glycerin 9 and the DNA technology running throughout, it felt like more impact that I can feel in my neck although they are comfortable to try on. I scoured the internet and found more of the Glycerin 8 and have no neck problems with them!

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: I'd been training for a marathon and had gone through 3 other pairs of shoes trying to find one that did not cause knee pain or lateral foot pain. I pronate but have custom orthotics so stability shoes aggravated the lateral foot pain. I switched to neutral shoes but most did not have enough cushioning to protect my knees. I tried this pair as a last resort and it worked. I was able to complete the marathon. I bought a shoe 1.5 sizes larger than my normal shoe size because I have a tendency to get blistered toes/black toenails.

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 9 Running Shoe: I have had several pairs of Glycerin 8s and was worried about the changes in the 9s. However, they are as great as the previous models. I have had many good outdoor and treadmill runs so far. I'd say they are slightly smaller in length than the 8s, but still fit nicely. I usually wear a 6.5, but in the Glycerins, I take a 7.
